nope. don't need JJ.

Good point. We could have lost to Alabama at their place. I mean they were like right behind LSU in the rankings so it would have been sort of a moral victory.
The best part of that is that you could have started about a gazillion threads attacking Miles.
Life would have been so good for you.

Personally, I think CLM handled it PERFECTLY!

I've seen this thread, but I just listened for the first time. Miles is 100% right. He is the man. If his choices ultimately don't pan out, it's his arse on the line.

People hate on JJ because when he started, we had the 100+ scoring Offense in the country. With Lee starting, we've been in the top 30. Our offense struggles to consistently get first downs with JJ at QB. this is as about as simple as it gets.

One thing I've noticed: pre Alabama Miles was really enjoying himself and was very loose. This seems to have changed. In the audio he is overly defensive. Also, during "Lunch with Les" there was absolutely no joking...it was even edgy. I don't think he is all that comfortable with the way he handled the qb situation for WKU

ive kinda noticed the same thing....i agree with post...i think he knows he screwed up a little )which is fine) and he is gonig through the "im in charge" mode....basic human reaction...i forgive him...

just start lee next time...

If Lee just goes to class none of this even happens.

That just isn't true though.

It's something that was said a few times and now its taken as gospel.

LSU was 45th in scoring offense in 2010. Not good, but not 100+.

This year we are 18th. Pretty big improvement.

But here's where it gets interesting.

Rushing offense-
2011 - 30th
2010 - 28th

Passing Offense
2011 - 99th
2010 - 107th

Total Offense
2011 - 79th
2010 - 86th

We're almost identical in rushing, passing, and total offense, except that our scoring offense is significantly better.

What this tells me is that a) we are getting points and/or good field position from D and ST (we are), and b) we are getting more TD's than FG's this year (we are)

Considering how few short passing TD's Lee has scored around the goal line, I don't think Lee has a lot to do with it.

I think the emergence of two legit fullbacks, as well as improved red-zone playcalling, deserves almost all of the credit for our improved scoring offense.

JJ had one first half 3 and out against WK.
Lee has had at least one first half three and out against every team this season except UF, with 2 against Oregon, 2 against NW St., 3 against WV, 4 against Kentucky, and two against Tennesse.

You see what you want to see.....

Lee may not have gone to class, but Miles absolutely denied that his playing time had anything to do with this. So I believe Miles on this...

Play them both. If JJ plays the whole game we will slip back to mediocrity on offense. Facts is facts.

Sounded like a decent question to me. The dude was perplexed why there was a change in starters. So what? I was too. Miles didn't really answer his question, which is his prerogative.

Rantards. Got to make an issue out of a non-issue all the fricking time.

so you think Flynn should've started over JR in '06?
absolutely. no doubt russell is much more talented, but flynn was the better qb and leader.

dude. he was not the best qb in the country. he stuggled the first half of the year. we were 4-2 to start the season. do you not remember the florida and auburn game at the beginning of the year. again 3 years of experience to 1 d a. who has progressed better in the nfl. you idiots think strong arm equals more talent. you are the ignorant one. sure flynn strugged some that year. but jr struggled just as much or more. flynn played well when he needed to. so you are telling me you would take jefferson over flynn.

some people will just never understand the game of football. they think that QB's like JaMarcus were the greatest thing because he could throw the ball 50 yards from on his knees. nevermind the fact that he was shite for brains with a low football-IQ.

You don't play a particular player because you feel like you owe something to the player. You play to win the game. Whoever Miles feels like will give him the best chance at the time - that is who will play. You guys need to stop worrying about how certain players' feeling may get hurt and just be damn proud that Miles has led us to 10 and 0.
