Not anymore you don't. In 2007, when he had nothing to lose & was still trying to make a name for himself, I can name several.

Now that he has his ring (after that year), he ceased being the riverboat gambler...coupled with Jarrett Lee-pick6-PTSD, feeling comfortable, is more 'Safe Sally' than the Mad Hatter. I really wish we has that version back- I believe it gave confidence to the players. Now they can compare how the calls are to how they were then, and the message seems to be "I just want to keep this thing close for now...we'll cross that 'winning' bridge when we come to it"

Didn't you say 1/9 was one game?
Then the Arky game is also one game? So that is 2 games. Or of we continue discussing any other specific games to be in that category, they are all just "one game " ??

Very sneaky, this one is...

I realize he is betting the farm on that past winning pct and nothing will convince him. I am honestly curious at what point he will start to question Miles' effectiveness.

Still waiting for him to answer my question.

I'd say Ole Miss and FL are not chopped liver at all. I'll take those wins, but the trend line is definitely down IF we are talking SEC champ...

All good things come to an end and usually go bad when the end comes:

Jordan: baseball and the comeback
Ali: those last fights were hard to watch
Elivs: got fat and OD'd.

My point -> you can only live on past accomplishments for so long.

I like our coach, don't get me wrong. However, if he doesn't adjust he will be passed by and our beloved Tigers will be passed by with him.

We did not "destroy" WVU at home. It was like 17-10 or something. It was a PP7 return that sealed it too.

And with his own players we made it to the NC game once....and got blown out by the best coach LSU has ever had.

Posi tigers routinely accuse nega tigers of being saban-sessed.

But I am starting to see more arguments like this

quote:

I know this is hard for some of you to hear but ill say it anyway....
bama is the best program in cfb. there isnt a program in cfb that is better than bama. they win more than any program. They recruit better than any program. bama is a better program than lsu. It always has been and until saban leaves it always will be

Maybe the nega tigers aren't saban-sessed, the posi tigers are just saban-shocked. Just because they field good teams with elite athletes doesn't mean we shouldn't compete.

And I will tell you why they have a better program. Because their head coach isn't an inept buffoon like ours.

Is that just your excuse that it is okay to lose?

You sunshine pumpers are delusional...but he HAS 10 WINS A YEAR!!!

Four of them at least come against teams that everyone else can beat out of conference too.

I count SEC wins most. The rent a wins are a non factor. He will be .500 at best this year. That is not very good unless one accepts mediocrity. Yes, 'Bama is way above LSU and unless Miles changes things, that will remain the same.

The problem with your facts is that they ignore trends. There are some bad trends going on with LSU football right now.

Miles doesnt coach in a sec west that allows a 3 loss team to win the west, which what saban did in 2001.

That's a very weak argument considering that Miles coached the ONLY 2-loss BCS Champion, and that Saban won the 2001 SEC Championship early on in the process of laying the foundation for LSU's future success with Miles.

FACTS:

At LSU, Saban achieved in 5 years what Miles has in 10.

At OSU, Miles' predecessor and successor both finished seasons ranked in the Top 25. Miles finished every season at OSU unranked.
