I have a ton of friends who claim Les Miles doesn't develop and showcase talent.

I present this years draft class, and the wealth of LSU receivers starting in the league as proof that Miles is a great coach!

Here's to hoping Minnesota takes Claiborne or I wont know who to cheer for when we snags one from Brees!

It seems Chavis actually deserves more credit than Les or even the position coaches (defensive side). However, Les was smart enough to put those coaches in place.

Les should get more credit for offensive line guys that get drafted early. Bottom line is Les is puttin guys in the NFL.

I think he's saying that he'd rather Claiborne in Minnesota than Tampa.

Is that why Tennesee was an SEC powerhouse?

The 1 thing that Les does great is that he gets great assistant coaches and doesnt mess with how they do things. He also lets some of his top athletes play defense, which is sorta rare. Most coaches put their top athletes of O, but Les recruits them and puts them on D.

Yes, actually. UT had a bad arse defense for many years.

Nope. Les has his thumb all over the offensive coordinator, no doubt.

Les is the one who got all the great defensive players to LSU so it's not all The Chief

Its a combination of both. Coaches and players have to buy into what Les is selling.

Could you imagine that if Mo goes top 5, then next year HB7 goes top 10 and Eric Reid goes top 10 also (which in my opinion is all possible) That would make the 2010 Secondary full of top 10 picks.

It's definitely the reason Tennessee put dozens of defensive players in the NFL while Chavis was there.

ETA: And Tennessee was an SEC powerhouse for much of Chavis' time there.

ESPN told me yesterday that Saban easily develops the most NFL talent.

Why can't he put out offensive talent if he is an offensive coach?

The past couple of years' drafts, along with this year's projections, would support that statement.
