No, that would be Bill Arnsparger.

yeah saban was a great CEO with the Miami Dolphins, has been a great CEO at Bama by oversigning, medical hardships. Losing to ULM and UTAH when not one of those teams players would start on said Alabama team. And whoever says that Saban has built two powerhouses is out of their minds. LSU and Alabama arent that hard to build especially with a tradition like Alabama. BTW its not like Saban got a bare house when he took over at LSU...James Gang anyone? Josh Reed? Rohan? Toefield?

and considering that he has averaged 2 losses each season will we accept such for the next seven seasons?

Yes.

Far better than Saban's 3.2 loses Saban averaged at LSU.

Arnsbarger was a doozie! I will give you that. Saban made muschamp and has developed assistants far better than miles has. Who is more soughtafter a miles assistant or a Saban assistant? It's really not even close. I wish I could make a case that miles is a better coach I relly do but there isn't a single facet of coaching that miles does better than Saban with the possible exception of telling the truth.

I like where Miles has this team headed. I honestly didn't like where LSU was headed with Saban in 2004; it seemed like the fire was gone and things were sliding.

Saban did a great job of building to a championship, but I'd have to say Miles has more endurance, and dare I say it, more grit under fire. Let's see how Saban handles people challenging his abilities and calling for his head (like Miles did this year), and more importantly, if that happens and a team the stature of Michigan (say, Penn St) comes calling, let's see if Saban sticks around.

You can ask the Head Coach of Nebraska.

America saw Miles outcoach Saban in every facet of the game last season.

Oh yeah..Miles wins more games and doesn't lose to pissant teams.

you sir are a fricking idiot. PERIOD.

jimbo (miles OC) now HC at FSU.
Pellini (miles DC) now HC at nebraska.

both guys were his initial co-ordinators and appear to have revived sleeping giants.

larry porter (long time RB coach for miles) now HC at memphis. yeah i know he went 1-11 in his first and only year there so far, but the jury is still out on that one.
bradley dale peveto (miles CO-DC) HC at Northwestern state, i know thats not D-1 but he still is a HC and could possibly be a D-1 coach down the road.

4 HC since he's been at LSU doesn't sound like none to me.

Plus another former HC in kragthorpe turned down HC interviews to coach under miles.

and you're bullshite about saban being completely hands off the offense guess you never noticed how whenever he has a huge lead in a game, his offense winds up being completely shut down. see iron bowl melt down 2010 for most recent example of that.

The Saban nut huggers are having a really hard time with the new reality. I almost feel bad for them.

But they're too bitter and stupid to really care about their feelings.

Go be Bama fans. You'll fit right in there.

The Saban nut huggers are called intelligent fans, not homer retards that can't have an intelligent conversation. Listen to NFL gms and coaches. Can you really see any NFL team coming after miles for a head job? He no colleges aren't even looking at him, Michigan didn't want him at that salary, they would have taken him at under 2 million. There's a reason no one wants to sweep miles away in a jet for huge dollars, ope. Your eyes a little. You guys are blinded because miles has has a decent run of it. I like the guy too but he is not a top 5 coach in the sec.

And all this talk about pelini? Come on the guy had NFL experience with green bay and was the d coordinator at Nebraska long before Lsu. He didn't come here and learn from miles how tk e a great coach. Great coaches take jr coaches and make them in tk coaching commodities. Name 1 guy miles has done that with

How did you cope with the fact that Miles took lil Nicky to school this year? See your way to the Sec rant please and be sure to put a little script A next to your name. Might want to pick up some Saban spooge rags on the way though.

Btw, no NFL team has come calling for Saban since his epic failure at Miami.

I have really never understood this... The dude was 15-17 in 2 seasons... how is that exactly an epic failure? Looks to me he realized he did not like the pro-game the way he thought he would and bolted. It is not like people were calling for his head after the 6-10 season... oh and we do not know if a team has inquired about him... none of us are his agent... like I said he may have hated it in the NFL and has told his agent that he will not take another NFL job.

He picked the wrong QB plain and simple. Had he got Drew Brees, he'd still be in Miami. People forget that.

Even though he picked Culpepper... I mean had he stayed he could have corrected that even. I mean they had the #5 defense in 2006 but that #29 offense hurt them... I just think he realized the NFL was not for him, not that he failed at it...

I can agree with that. Miami's situation was also a bit worse than people thought. The defense was aging insanely fast.
