This is probably most of the issue alone. Calling plays at this level takes a witty guy with a lot of thought. It's all about getting a groove and using plays to set up other plays. That is not Miles cup of tea and he needs to back the hell off and stay out of it but he is too hardheaded to change.

yeah a decade before he stepped foot in baton rouge.

Has he been handcuffed ever since? Has his rousing success at Maryland convinced you?

Ding ding ding. They had a qb who could actually run the offense. There is really the common denominator....the qb.

This is probably why they have so many delays....and the assistant can't say les was the problem with the late call.

Lolz.

It's everyone's fault but Miles.

All the pieces change except for one... The problems stay the same, and it's everyone else's fault but the one constant.

So why did they fire Cam Cameon if EVER player said nice things about him? You think I didn't read that shite?

If you can't tell the difference between Crowton formations and Cams you cant talk.

He gets none of the credit for the good offenses, why get any of the blame?

He handcuffs all the OCs unless we are good then its the OC and the Talent

frick off.

We had different formations under Fisher, and Crowton and Now under Cam. If you can't tell the difference thats on you.

Why were Bill Belichick (Browns), Pete Carroll (Jets & Patriots) & Nick Saban (Browns)fired from previous jobs? Those guys must be trash to be fired before, right?

Man you are so fricking right. Because 3 successful coaches were fired from shite teams, that mean good teams fire good coordinators in the middle of the season all the time.

Maybe we should get Rob Ryan to be our head coach.
frick Gary Crowton has been fired 4 times in the last decade. Lets just let him Be the head coach.

No, what you fail to realize is that a coach being fired at a previous job isn't always an indication of success or failure. Some coaches get fired for poor performance. Some get fired philosophical differences. Some get fired because new management wants to come in with a fresh start. Not every damn situation is the same & that's what you fail to understand here. All you want to look at is Cam being fired while completely disregarding his accolades he received along his coaching journey.

Guess what else? No one wins at Indiana. That state is void of talent at the high school level for it to ever be a winner. That Dolphin roster Cam took over was completely void of talent especially at QB. Wayne Huizenga could have raised Vince LombardI from the dead & he would have gone 1-15 with that shitty team too. The Ravens were 9-4 when Cam was fired. Yeah, they were doing so shitty, right? The firing lit a fire under the team & it worked. It wasn't due to Jim Caldwell taking over & running an entire new offense. It had more to do with Joe Flacco catching fire at the right time of the season, nothing more nothing less.

Link?

And if he did, I'm glad he did. Jimbos offense under Miles> under saban.

Not 1 of our last 3 OC's was working as an OC when we hired them

Its not like we are getting these guys fresh off of HC failures either. Plenty of Great coordinators fail as HC.

we got 2 guys out of work, and tried to piece together 2 positions coaches.

I think it is the OC's Crowton was a mess. Krag never go to be OC, and Stud was never supposed to be. And Cam isn't working out.

But we have had good offenses under Les. The Offense does change between OCs. Go look at Crowton's offense and see how much shotgun we run.

perhaps miles hired Cam because he had a similar offense to what Miles wanted to run. I find it hard to believe Cam isn't running the offense he wants to run and the plays he wants to run. He is paid a lot of money and brings a lot of experience, plus it's his reputation on the line. Can't see him coming in and just running Miles offense and letting Miles call the plays.

Besides the offense scheme and play calls, the play designes seem bad as well as the seeming disorganization on offense. Seems no one knows what they are supposed to do, have trouble getting the play in, trouble getting lined up, players running the wrong play, don't know the count, shooting themselves in the foot with dumb penalties. All that speaks to coaching and Cam is the offenses coach.

I watched highlights of jmarc and Flynn over the weekend. Diff offense. Never did LSU run the option out of the pistol under Jimbo, Stud or cam. Only under crowton.

Crowton benched an all acc freshman qb and went to a zone read at Maryland and got fired.

One thing I did like about stud was there were less substitution and delay of game penalties as soon as he was named OC. He didn't have those crazy sub packages crowton had that confused his own players.

Cam had several NFL interviews in early 2013 before hiring on with LSU. Don't pretend for a second like he wasn't sought after by other organizations.

So are you arguing that Cam Cameron is a good OC, but he was fired for some random reason, and now his offense suck because of miles.

But they didn't suck in 2013 because of talent and Miles couldn't' even mess that up.

I think this is Cam Cameron's offense. i don't think it is working.

If it's so open, where is the link?

Crowton did openly say he runs within Miles philosophy.
“We’re always going to be a team that has some ball control,” Crowton said. “We’re not going to be a wide open, ‘get after it’ team with coach Miles’ philosophy. He’s protecting all three areas of the game: offense, defense and special teams. It’s a good formula that wins, and that’s the bottom line.
“Everyone wants a good show. But we need to put a formula together to win the game. If we need to open it up, we open it up. If we need to pound it, we pound it. That’s the formula coach Miles has used through his career.”

I've heard same chatter about Jimbo with no link.

Yet there are links where Miles publicly says he doesn't call plays.
Odd both OCs had great success while under Miles "handcuffing" and we fans have enjoyed 3 or 4 GOAT LSU scoring offenses under his reign. I recall it's 4 of the top 5.
I'm pretty comfy doubting Crowton will ever lead another O to a NC.

you can have 10,000 formations and only run the plays out of each that fit your philosophy.
