the 2 picks were against identical coverage on back to back passes. The 1st was lee's last pass of the 1st half and 2nd was his 1st of the second half. The defense just lined up with 2 deep safeties and he just threw into it.I'll give him a pass with the bad snap on the 1st but not the 2nd

Alabama wasn't giving us much time and I think Les put in JJ bc he is more mobile. Just my 2 cents

I hate this excuse.

He's a 5th year senior.

Not an impressionable 18 year old.

If he doesn't have confidence to play at this point, then I don't want him as our QB.

he was coming out no matter if he threw a pick or not. JJ was the better option vs an amazing alabama defense. simple fact. Thats why he played more.

Are you Lee's mommy or daddy?

Did you read what you typed in before you hit submit?

Lee's not some fragile emotional pansy candy assed kid who gets his widdle feelings hurt. He had a bad night. He was exposed for the first time this season for the average to good quarterback he is. He is not an exceptional quarterback. On the same note, neither is Jefferson but the difference is that Jefferson is more athletic than Lee and is not afraid to run with the ball when given the opportunity.

It is a TEAM effort and the WIN is more important at the time of the game than worrying if Lee or JJ or Mathieu or anyone's feelings are hurt.

We needed JJ's running ability to move the chains to a position where we could kick field goals. Lee was rattled after his pick.

It was a brilliant coaching decision.

LEE was out of that game once Hightower drilled him.

This is what I saw as well. I believe that was the first drive. We moved the ball decently on that drive, around 30 yards. Next drive he throws the pick by rushing a throw where there was no pressure on him.

First off. I want to say that jefferson played a pretty good game last night. Nothing against him. I just don't agree in pulling your starting qb after 1 pick when he has had the season he's had. Lee got us to that point throwing 13 td to 1 pick. I just feel like Les abandoned Lee in that situation. I do agree that we should have pulled him after the second! Just feel like Les crushed any kind of confidence Lee had. I don't care who plays qb for us as long as we win! Just didn't think it was fair to Lee.
_____

The insertion of Jefferson the 1st time was a normal procedure for this team. The second time, it became obvious that Lee was not having a good game. The coaches made the correct decision to replace Lee with Jefferson and use the option and his running ability.

Keep in mind the right tackle for LSU was being owned my Ingram. There was no time for LEE to pass effectively and the play calling wasn't helping. You didn't see much in the way of quick passes in the flats to wideouts or backs.

The coaches handled the QBs correctly.

P.S.- Don't get me going about the passes in the flat to Richardson...

Lee has had a good year but anyone who wasn't concerned with how he handled consistent pressure is blind. When Lee has time he plays well but he absolutely shits himself when he knows its coming

I find it ironic how biased people gladly turn a blind eye to all the times in the last two years that Les Miles has gone out of his way to keep Jordan Jefferson's ego intact. Jefferson wasn't moving the offense either, but he was a better option because Lee was committing turnovers.

Despite JJ being the better option, Les Miles still handled the situation in a way that he would have never handled it if the situation were reversed. You people can speak so matter of factly about your ideological opinion of what happened all you want, but all you're really doing is showing your ignorance to your own bias.

Also, are we nominating JJ for Heisman now? I mean how big of a knee jerk reaction is this. Lee was making mistakes, thats why he came out - the way he came out didn't help with his psyche. Last time I checked, we still didn't score a touchdown.

Just wow. Some of you act like Lee has a hypersensitive vagina or something.

Lee just had a bad night. Once a good defense gets in your head, it's hard to overcome. See geno in the wvu game a couple of years ago.

THIS; though I don't believe it is true. He will play and will play effectively for the remainder of this season. Start or not is just semantics and for the JL/JJ love/hate rantards.

So, it's ok for Les to treat Lee like he's the toughest man in the world but baby JJ for the last two years? Take the Auburn game for instance, Les left JJ in the game despite losing yards on nearly every play until he threw that TD pass, and then Les pulled him so that he could end on a good play.

It's all about winning doesn't seem to matter how you go about doing it.

Forget about the int's. We couldn't run up the middle w/ Lee. Did you notice how often Ware stutter-stepped into the hole? That's b/c there wasn't one. Jefferson forced them to respect other aspects (option) that Lee couldn't. Lee should still start unless we face a D like Bama's again (which we won't unless we get a rematch)

Jefferson's legs bailed Lee out the same way Lee's arm bailed out Jefferson so many times before. It was a team effort and JJ's strength with the run/option helped us win.

I like this perspective. Geaux JL and JJ!
