Our QB play sucks. No getting around that. But if you want to criticize Miles, criticize him for lack of recruiting QBs--that's completely fair. But this Lee is clearly better bullshite is just that--bullshite. He's proven he's not all that good himself. Miles allegiance to Jefferson begins and ends with his fear of Lee. Nothing more.

I choose to criticize Miles for the lack of recruiting and for the way he managed the QB position during and after RP.
His allegiance to JJ is due to his lack of being able to provide a decent OC/QB coach.
Remember, these are the coaches that gave us Andrew Hatch as a starter over both JJ and JL.
Now fans are left crossing their fingers for a JUCO transfer because this staff can't get a QB.

There is much more credible video and audio evidence that shows your statement is not correct.

Some people will believe and blindly follow anyone because they like them personaly even though there is proof that they should not (examples: Gerry Dinardo, Curley Hallman).

These same things were being done by Dinardo and Hallman, yet many would defend them dispite the clear evidence that they were not quality coaches.

All the Miles supporters, please list the Division 1 schools that would hire Les Miles if he was released by LSU.

I have been upset at LM all season for his unwaivering committment and praise for JJ.
CLM has given Lee pt this year, he hasn't stolen the job that was his to take. I admire JL, but he has flaws. It's dumb to blame this all on CLM who's trying to give the best chance for Ws.
They are both average QBs, at best. JJ just brings an extra dimension for defenses to cover and therefore get's more snaps. Lee or whoever will have to overcome this advantage to win the job.

yes because lsu is playing no freshmen on this team, while seniors like euguene have kept their starting spots...lmao....completely ignorant thought pattern. He will play the kid IF the kid is better...period. What do you expect him to say about our qb's now? That they suck.....so sick of this bs shite.

great post kid....let's just forget the fact that with a bowl win miles will join only 4 other SEC coaches with four 11 wins seasons.....lmao.....you are comparing losing coaches to the winningest coach in lsu history.......right there it shows your intelligence.

One of the most overrated things.... especially with the game changers LSU has at RB, LSU needed a QB who can throw so teams could not stack the box.

If you want to compare intellegence, it would seem you would answer all the questions in my reply instead of resorting to childish name calling.

I again ask you what Division 1 school would hire Les Miles if he was released by LSU. Miles own school is about to fire their coach, but are not considering one of their great alumni, Lester Miles, even though he posseses such a great record at LSU.

Michigan

Miami

and any other big conference/quality program.

To say and think Les Miles is NOT a really good coach and program manager is simply evidence of your negative bias... he is a very good coach and has proven that since his days at OSU.

Has he made mistakes -- absolutely... but there is no coach that has not.

Why do I say this:

a. Recruiting has been the best ever
b. Record and winning percentage
c. Head to head record with Meyer and Saban
d. Graduation rate of players
e. Lack of off-field trouble by players
f. He has dismissed "problem" players, even high profile potential starters/stars when needed.

I am hoping that we get ZM in here and he succeeds the way Cam did at Auburn.
If ZM had any sense he would distance himself from Les Miles/LSU simply because Les is going to stick with Jefferson until he graduates or gets hurt.

I can not wait for senior day next year, I can not stomach much more of watching JJ taking the field as the QB.

Man do not confuse the sunshine pumpers, remember JJ biggest asset is his legs can beat a defense. When JJ plays his normal game and falters its the lines fault, the recievers drop the ball/ran wrong routes, or the turf gave out when making his cut. IT WILL NEVER BE JJ/LM FAULT with their supporters.

Why couldn't LES atleast try Lee when it became apparent JJ was getting sacked, not picking up any first downs, over throwing underthrowing, etc. and just generally no rhythm and bad play.
LEE may have come out and got us a touch down or two with his more accurate passing. WHY NOT atleast try when your loosing. For heavens sake I don't get Les Miles logic at all. I can't believe we still have to put up with him even if we are 10-2. Atleast someone told him to quit picking his nose on national tv, then he took up eating grass. I think when he threw JJ under the bus for the loss to Ole Miss last year, something happened like a promise - you'll play forever if you take the heat on this play that cost us the game

This ignores reality. JJ's extra dimension is a hindrance as much as it is a help and if the "best QB" were truly the one to play, JL would have started after the UF game. Both have some strong points and both have their weakness. The QB play this year has been as bad as I have ever seen at LSU, and possibly at any "elite" level BCS program.

As I said, it was his to take. He's hot and cold, as is the other.
JJ brings threat of the option that creates lanes and usally makes better reads from under center. With Lee, you get JJ, minus the former, imo.
Not to mention zero scrambling ability.

Not saying you, but there were 100 fickle fricks on TD Scoreboard typing "KEEP JJ IN!!!!! KEEP THE HOT QB IN AND LET LEE RIDE THE PINE" in each of the last 2 games.
How many "Start Lee" avatars do you still see around? Very funny shite to someone objective.
Very few posters on Rant have any conviction whatsoever.

This. If we insist on taking carries away from our running backs (all of whom are better runners than JJ) and giving them to the QB position, then put RS, Ware, or even RR back there, and make the defense consider the QB a real threat.

is exactly why I don't think we get Mett.

A lot of you assume that Mett is just going to sit around and waste a year. I think he's wanting to play in the 2011 season. Period.

And he could do so at Arkansas, Bama, and A&M.

So if Miles is undecided on this topic because he doesn't want to hurt Jefferson's feelings, we may not see Mett at all and in fact lose to the kid down the road playing for one of our rivals.

Which would be a stand up thing for Miles to do character wise for Jefferson, but shows that Miles is more about being a character guy than winning.

Arkansas: NO
Bama: Maybe but Saban has a worse history than Miles when it comes to starting freshman.
A&M: Who gives a shite. The kid has repeatedly said he wants to play in the SEC. He's not going to a Big XII conference that's on the brink of disaster anyway.
