I say give Les ONE more year to either redeem himself or seal his fate. But Crowton & Co. must go.

Amazing. Ya know... I was watching that game here in Albuquerque yesterday afternoon. Cooking up some boudin and jambalaya for my New Mexican friends and everyone of them is unbiased. (Even though they loved the food) Yet everyone of them, women included knew the FG team was supposed to run out on the field and kick that. Whenever you've got four women who rarely watch football screaming for a team they don't even care about you know something's amiss. LSU needs to fire Miles this week. This just made the program look so damn stupid. How could any recruit feel confident in being coached by Les Miles. GEAUX AWAY LES MILES!!!

unless les leaves (possible if RR gets fired) or resigns (he won't), he will be here one more year

next year has the potential to be ugly with (1) our losses and (2) our "away" year schedule

miles all but murdered crowton in the press last night while avoiding taking the blame, so you make that guess

If he has any sense whatsoever, the first words out of his mouth will be to accept full responsibility for the mismanagement of the game, especially at the end.

I agree with all of that. But actually...Florida isn't going to be as good next year and I still believe in miracles so I guess I have some hope in me.

But regardless, I don't want us to be rash about his employment. He did win a NCG and had a great deal of success. But its not enough to compensate for the complete inadequacy he is displaying in coaching right now. You know what they say about needing 5 positives in order to forget one negative..?

he definitely didn't do that

he yelled at JJ

he said he had no idea who called for the spike

he said he suggested runs to crowton, but crowton wanted to pass

etc

Let me ask Y'all Tiger fans this... Look at today's Top 25 poll (take any poll), do you think any one of those teams would take Les Miles as their coach right now? An honest question. In my opinion, not a one of them would. If you'll admit this, doesn't that say something?

obviously. I was referring to Monday's press conference. I should have made that more clear.

Most even average college football fans know the clock stops on a change of possession.

Most people knew the clock was running down against Auburn in 2007

Most people saw we needed to call a fricking time out last night after the horrible 3rd down play

irrespective of the game last night no one can defend the offense this year. crowton has to go. the defense deserves some blame for last night and chavis has to find a way to get some 3 and outs. the defense has played 3 good qtrs. against bama and miss but they are tired and beat up by the 4th qtr. they get no help from offense.

You gonna give me $4M????? Any man making this much money shouldn't be making such obvious game day errors.

true but I think we have a better chance next year considering the talent they're losing..but again, that all depends on which one of Les' teams shows up to play ya know.

this is true, but I think LSU was the best team in the nation at the end of 2007/beginning of 2008.

But very few of Les' teams have displayed the dominance on the field as they should. We are freeking stacked and should be whopping up on people.

I am not a negatiger by any stretch but this and last season has been a blatant display of coaching incompetence more often than not. I like Les as a person but I no longer think he is doing what needs to be done.

nope. yes it does, and it says something that we're already saying so this isn't some radical new thought.

you give me $4M and $2M (or whatever in assistant salary) and i'd do better by doing nothing

i'd keep $1M in salary and spend $5M on the best assistants money could buy and let them do work

my 10 year old brother, who is a beast at Madden and NCAA, would have been a more competent coach last night. guarantee he would have managed the clock much more efficiently than miles. bleee dat!!!!!

the damage is done. For better or worse, this game will be his defining moment. His legacy. He still needs to man up and take responsibility for it.

Because of Saban's coaching???? YES I will agree1!!!!

I have no problem with people hating on Miles, but be fair.

Chuck was averaging 6.5 ypc before he went out with an injury. In comparison Ingram had the same average for the game.

Through 8 drives for both teams(Jefferson and Scott were both out of the game at that point):

LSU- 244 yards, 45 plays, 5.4 yards a play
Bama- 290 yards, 48 plays, 6.0 yards a play

LSU was winning 15-10

The game was pretty even and it is easily debatable as to who was out coaching who at the time. If there was any out coaching at all. LSU was on the road and the underdog yet they were winning. Most people would praise the visiting coach, but not any of you.

In y'alls eyes I guess it is just a huge conincidence the game swung completely into Bama's favor after the all the injuries. Bama won and deserved it, but LSU was pretty unlucky and had a steep hill to climb in the situation they were in with the game.

I am not saying I am completely defending Miles as I was hugely disappointed in '05 UT, '06 AU, and yesterdays coaching performances.
