Get there 2 hours before kickoff for this game. It was mostly full 1 hour before MSU game this year so I am sure this game will be crazy. Upstairs is cool and not as crowded. I think the owner's daughter who is LSU grad tends bar up there too.

First off, I LOVE LEGENDS - other than Tiger Stadium, there isn't a better place I've ever watched an LSU game. They play the game sounds, play the band music on offense/defense, LSU/Louisiana-oriented music during commercials, surrounded by LSU fans, etc.

As far as the LSU-Alabama game: The last several times I've been there for this game, if I wasn't there within an hour of opening, there was a line around the block to get in, and those were night games... I would seriously consider getting there at opening to be sure you have a seat and/or standing room.

Good memory - the bar nearly ran out of beer in 2012 (we were down to Guinness and Boddingtons)... thankfully, the Bud and Miller trucks showed up at halftime with refills.

Hope you have a great experience.

Just for reference and not saying these other examples are not accurate but my wife and I went for the SEC Championship game a few years back against Georgia. Showed up an hour early and got a table near a big screen that was about 10ft from the restrooms. Ordered buckets of beer to avoid waiting on drinks. Worked out perfectly for us. So based on what others are saying combined with what I experienced I’d say anything from 1-1.5hrs early is a safe bet. Good luck man! Have fun and enjoy the game. It was a blast watching it there. Legends has a great setup.

Just depends on how you want to watch it there. If you want a table near a screen so you can sit, eat, drink, etc. then I would get there about an hour before the game starts. If you’re good with standing around then getting there whenever works. The place is huge so there is plenty of standing room if that’s your thing.

If you get there an hour before this game, I'd be shocked if you can find more than a place to stand. Unless the LSU fans just aren't showing up anymore.

My wife and I went to Legends for an Auburn game several years ago. Be prepared to be elbow with many people that are not interested in the game and are only interested in talking to other people and not even watching the game. Both upstairs and downstairs were packed, and it seemed like about a dozen people (won't call them fans) were interested in the game. Very disappointing.

For this game, getting there an hour before kickoff does not even ensure getting into the bar.

I think you went to the wrong Legends, my friend. I've been twice and as someone else said its my next favorite game day atmosphere outside of being in the stadium.

I was there for the Arkansas game in 2013 when it was still the day after Thanksgiving so there was not a huge crowd. Found a table getting there right around kick off. It was still one of the best bars I've ever watched a game in.

Also went there for Auburn game last year. The entire place was buzzing the whole time. Made some new friends and the place erupted when Cole hit the field goal.

I was there in 2011 for the game. Was a night game and got there 4 hours before kick. Main level was already packed full and basement was already half full. Friend of mine got there about 30 minutes to an hour before and had to wait in line to be able to get in. If I remember correctly, they were running out of certain types of beer shortly after halftime and were nearly out by end of the game.

I live in BR and will be in NYC for wifey’s bday weekend. Conditional on me being at Legends for the game, of course. I plan to get there 2 hours before kickoff. I’m Han Solo so I just need to get to the bar.

2 hours is a little too much. What do you want to do in 2+4 hours Han Solo?

Also, usually, there is room upstairs. First floor gets really packed though.

Butch will be at the game. If you can find him on the board before the game you can sit at his table. Butch has been a regular at legends for years and gets a good table. I know he will be there

It’ll be packed get there early.

It’s also a soccer bar so if there’s a premier league game earlier then you’ll have soccer fans in there too. They’ll leave before LSU starts but you might not get a table right away.
