I didn't see where people in this thread were calling for Jefferson to be benched.

But he should be given more snaps, if nothing else, to step in if JJ gets hurt. JLee has performed well in those situations so far this year.

I agree with the OP. Lee should at least get in the game at some point. Maybe not start him, but put him in to give JJ a chance to relax so that he can settle down.
I also would like to see LSU would go to the spread where JJ may have more success. Scott is running really well out of the spread right now.
I totally agreed with Gordy Rush. You got a OC who has had some success with spreading defenses out. You have an OL coach who has had success as a Bowling Green OC running the spread, and you have a young QB who played in a spread offense in HS, and ran it SUCCESSFULLY.
Put JJ in the spread exclusively. Give this offense an identity. Play to his strengths. Give him a chance to succeed. This also should take care of the 7 step drop. He should already be able to see what the defense is gonna give him while back there.

I normally don't agree with you very much because I find your opinions to be rather harsh in most cases. But here you have been spot on with your assessments. I'd love for you to get into a pissing match with Tomm (aka theDoc's alter) over this. It would be epic, IMO.

Damn, then who is theDoc's alter??? He must be avoiding the JJ/JL threads to not make himself obvious.
