Receivers dropped a few balls but Lee threw nearly every time off of his back foot, pressured or not
While I agree that throwing off the back foot can be concerning, I don't care if he throws with his face in the ground if the ball gets there and it catchable. So, really, Lee throwing off his back foot has nothing to do with the WR's ability to catch the football once it hits them in the hands.

luckily it was JL out there instead of JJ going 8-21. otherwise we would never hear the end of it from the klantards on this board. It was a pathetic display from that vocal portion of our fanbase the way the kid was booed when he came into the game.

The pass to Randle was FAR from perfect. He stopped mid route, posted up and jumped and the ball was like 2 yards over his head. If he would have kept running his route at full speed the ball would have fallen 5-7 yards short, easily. In no way shape or form was that a perfect throw. People can be down on Randle, and I'm pissed he dropped the WVU ball, but the dude has sick ball instincts. He misjudged an underthrown ball by a little bit...that's it

yea i'm not over-reacting to randle's lapses the last couple games. he's still been good all year, just needs to tighten up and be more consistent. shep on the other hand, not sure why we are still throwing the ball down the field to him. he just doesn't look comfortable running deeper routes and playing the ball in the air. we need to run short crossing routes and screens to get him the ball, not sure why we don't do this more. i also wish we'd run more screens with the running backs.

did he even play baseball in high school?

Posted on 10/2/11 at 11:42 am to Tiger Authority
a. we don't have a history of guys leaving early. i think JR and PP are the only 2 high profile guys to do it (i may be wrong)
b. randle isn't putting up 1st day production right now. he hasn't caught more than 6 balls in a game and has 2 games with 1 catch

I don't have a link. And I really don't care if you believe me.

ETA: This isn't about his draft stock in baseball but about his love of the game.

He loved baseball more than he loved playing football. Football was the obvious better option for having a career though.

randle was a good baseball player in highschool, but to say he had some type of decision to make whether he was a better football or baseball prospect is absurd.

i can't find a story anywhere that says he even got drafted out of high school
if google is wrong, let me know
don't you think that if he had any future in baseball, he would have been drafted?

A couple of passes sailed on the WRs. Don't forget it was very windy in the first half and LSU was going into the wind in the beginning.
Having said that Shep needs to catch that seam route down the middle and Randle just had a bad jump on the go route. I noticed he stopped when he didn't need to because if he had kept going that was a TD.
To be very honest, Beckham is our best WR on the team...hands down!

well yea
not even getting drafted and i don't think he got offered a scholarship in baseball makes that decision kind of easy

My point is that I question whether he has the desire to play football. At times, from my perspective, it looks like he's just going through the motions and doesn't want to be out there. Maybe that's his demeanor.
Just noting that baseball was his favorite sport, and I wish he would show the same type of passion for football.
