That tax is even more bullshite. Missouri has it. You have to pay tax on vehicles every year even if they have been paid off.

So which states are there that you can buy Real Estate and not be levied a property tax as a private individual?

There’s only a few states where personal property is taxed, and most of those have a cap that isn’t very high

The oil and gas property tax exemption was a good idea. I haven’t lived there in a long time, but I remember it was $75,000 when I was there.

The State of Louisiana does not assess or collect property taxes. Parishes do.
A farm in EBR likely pays more property tax than one in Livingston Parish for instance so I don’t know how they rate La. as a state.
