I made a preview thread. Had 21 responses. The rant had more baseball threads than basketball threads. Now all the sudden it’s all about the basketball team sucking. I don’t get it? Team is 5-2 in the SEC. those of you thinking this team won’t be an ncaa team, sorry guys, gonna be a long year for you.

What you’re seeing tonight is what people that know basketball feared watching this team. The defense is abysmal and we got away with it by playing shitty teams that couldn’t shoot.

It’s what makes it worse. LSU basketball going back to Trent Johnson keeps shitting the bed every time the casuals pay attention and show up.

so the narrative is, if we hold opponents to low scoring while playing good defense, it’s them just not being able to shoot good.
But if teams shoot lights out while being contested, like tonight, it’s terrible defense.

Obviously its exaggerated tonight. But i think oates philosophy is just a bad matchup for wade’s defensive style

Agreed. Bamas perimeter shooting in the 1st half was insane. All the loose balls went their way. Lot of that was because of their active hands. Sometimes you just have to give the other guys their props.
