I think this is part of the negative with the portal
You have older guys coming in & they may not always feel comfortable taking on that role
I read an article about Brad taking on the role & I’m sure there are others but when you’re in a slump I’m sure it’s not the easiest thing to do
I do think Milam will be a leader next season

The teams that get hot in the postseason are scrappy and fiery. Our team this year is mostly show horses with big time pedigrees. They wilt under pressure.

I was discussing this with friends this morning. NIL can buy talent. It can absolutely bring in talent.
But…. What money can’t do is buy heart, buy passion, buy love of the game, buy friendship, buy camaraderie, buy mental toughness, and team spirit.

If walking a freshman in front of you with risp doesn’t motivate you nothing will.

I couldn't tell you who the leader(s) is/are on this team. Not one personality really sticks out to me and I don't recall Jay ever talking about it. There is no Tommy Tanks on this team.
I've seen a lot of player interviews and the guy with the most presence, confidence and personality is Curiel. Others, if I had to guess:
Dickinson
Milam
Kade or Eyanson for the pitching staff
I've never seen LSU get beat down by teams NW St and UALR, ever! Teams with good leadership don't have such wild swings of inconsistency.
We may win tonight and the Supers because of the best-of-3 format with KA & AE; but I have no delusions of us doing well in Omaha.
