Leadership

The one thing this team doesn’t have is leadership. It doesn’t have that guy that’s up motivating and getting in everyone’s ear. When they are down everyone looks lost and unmotivated.

You don’t know what happens behind closed doors.
Also what is yelling and getting in someone’s face going to do when you suck too. You have to be executing to be that guy or nobody will listen.
It’s also a transfer world where these guys are close but not that close because they just got there 9 month ago.

I don’t need to know what goes on behind closed doors. I can’t see it in the dugout and on the field. They have no guy that’s vocal.

If you watch team huddles at the mound on defense, it’s Braswell who really takes this role. But it’s hard to lead effectively on offense when you are struggling the way he is. Same with Bear. That’s two of your biggest vets. Then you have Josh Pearson, who isn’t playing that much.
We absolutely miss having a guy like Crews who was an unquestioned leader who everyone respected and followed. Hopefully Curiel can be that starting next season, but he’s just not able to be that as a true freshman, as good as he is. Milam is another I would expect to see more from next season after the current vets move on.

Once again you have to be executing in order to be vocal or else nobody is going to listen to someone that sucks as bad as they do.
Literally nobody on this team is worth a flip at performing anything clutch at the plate except for maybe Curiel. And surprisingly Stanfield lately

/\ this /\ is one of the things that take the joy out of being a fan of a 'team' -
I do not like the portal era - at all.
Even with the 'success' it has brought in terms of trophy hardware - there's no feeling of "WE did that" = the feeling I get is more like winning for a day or so at a lousy casino.
I still like the old days when you knew the players from their freshman year onwards.

Uhh
If you want to say LSU is playing bad just say it. There’s no need to say dumb shite like this to make people think you know what you’re talking about.

Shut up. This is a board to write your opinions. If you don’t like it don’t read it.

no shite, thus the no leadership. Who is going to be that person? Jones?

The difference is a lot of us have played sports a good bit, and common sense says you need strong leadership. Who is our leader on the team? LOL
It is clear you never played sports at any significant level. You probably should stay out of this thread.
Yeah yeah, I'm sure you will come back and tell us all what kind of great athlete you were.

You don't have to be yelling in everyone's face to be a leader. As fans with no idea what goes on within the team, we have no clue if they have good leadership or not.

Again dumb arse I didn’t say yell at guys. I said talk them up and motivate them.

Correct. It is my opinion that you don’t know what you’re talking about. The irony of you telling me to shut up then following it up with pointing out the fact that this board is for people to voice their opinions is hilarious.

You don't know that's not happening. You don't have a camera on the dugout the entire game or between innings during commercial breaks.

Yeah I’m sure these guys have no motivation to win the regional…

I’m assuming you’re in the dugout every game and you can tell us that none of this is happening?

Sure

I have no clue. I’m just a fan that watches them play.

Nah I was an extremely average athlete that played through high school and that’s it. Probably pretty similar to a lot of people on this board. But I’m smart enough to know that fans that are not in the locker room, not in the dugout, and don’t know the players or coaches are probably pretty clueless on the leadership within the team.

Strong leadership doesn’t have to be vocal. Just because the rant doesn’t see who the ‘leader’ is, doesn’t mean that the team doesn’t have one.
Look, everyone’s pissed, I get it, and yall want someone or something to blame. Completely understandable.
But some of the shite yall talk about, you have no frickin clue unless you’re with the team on a day to day basis. I’m sorry, but that’s the truth

Ah, this line. Please, post your highest level of baseball that you’ve played, complete with stats… you know, for transparency. I want to know who I’m talking to
