he will have shone that he's not worthy of leading LSU in any capacity.

now it just depends how you look at it, if he had the whole offense working with unity, than it might be a good thing. but if he acted alone and other players are just taking up for him than it could be bad. but with this being said I dont know the whole truth and you dont know the whole truth and thats that

Look, I personally hope that this has all been overblown. I wish nothing but the best for all LSU football players. I try to support LSU in everyway. My daughter just graduated a few years ago. My money has spoken and it supported LSU. Many on here are just hangers-on...I'm invested. I enjoy Coach Miles and LSU football much more than when Shorty was here. When raising my two kids, I never made excuses for their failures and never gloated over their successes. I will not do more for a mere football player than I did for my own flesh and blood. Neither should Coach Miles. JJ and the other players need to truly be men and face up to their weaknesses and bad decision-making. If this has just been bunch of bs and nothing more, then so be it. let the season begin. But young people need to be held accountable or society will surely pay a much higher price down the road.

funny to see people bash jj. it was probably some ranter starting shite with him anyway.

hahahaha.

this kid has not been in any trouble so far in his career. we are very fortunate to have him on campus. overall a good character kid who takes care of his academics. we'll see what happens, but it's not like he's stephen garcia and the comparisons to rp are ridiculous. rp was trouble his whole life (and his mom was a hand full).

One thing is clear, the absurd PR campaign Miles put on for JJ this year could not possibly have been a good thing for his character. Any way you look at it, JJ was being coddled or used.

Dead on makes you wonder Miles would invest so much time and effort in trying to get the public and I am sure the team to believe JJ was something he clearly is not. Effort would have been better spent on a player with actual leadership qualities.

You would think JJ's history of not taking responsibility for his play and blaming others would have tipped Les off!

You might want to wait before the stone throwing starts. If any past problems have been an indicator, some of those who's leadership have been questioned were in fact standing up or in for others in the past, and possibly in this incident.

Sometimes it's still leadership/teamsmanship, even if you don't agree with it.

I think a lot of people forget or have forgotten what it's like to be a young person, with your friends.

Cauble with da KABOOOOOM!!!!!!!

The problem I have is everyone convicting the players without knowing a single fact. JJ may be the single most polarizing player in the history of LSU and it sucks that the shitty part of our fanbase has to rear their ugly heads.

I kind of agree with this. But for LSU to get to the next level they may. Someone has to fill that spot.

Until now, LSU hasn't needed JJ to be a leader.

I totally agree with this. I questioned the wisdom of the hype and felt it may bump JJ for a game or two, but also may put the expectation to a level that makes it more frustrating for JJ.

Punishment should be within the team. If there are charges and they are convicted, then...decide what to do. Like Miles said...lots of running should help do the trick. Anger management may be needed for some of the guys. Doubt it is JJ. He needs the reverse.

Its been posted many times on here, Miles just doesnt know how to manage the QB spot. Not one QB that he has recruited has risen to an 'average' level in 7 yrs. Seven! His public relations whirlwind of JJ was an epic fail.

Many SEC teams hacve trouble with the QB position. Think USC...think of Shorty yelling at his QB on the sidelines. Think of Florida last year. RP and JJ share some of the same qualities...arrogance and false pride stem from deep insecurities...and then they try to overcompensate in other areas...Coach Miles has been weak in the QB area of recruiting....hopefully, that could get better in the future.

So what do we do with Mettenberger that has a conviction on his record already?
I dont beleive Mettenburg kicked a man in the head while he was down on the ground. If jefferseon and i say IF ,he did that he couldua easly had been facing murder charges today! Zach grabbed a girl on the arse and had misdemeanor charges filed agsint him. He was kicked of team for that. Jordan Could be looking at felony assault charges, Just alittle different animals. You think Les will Kick Jordan offf?

If I had to choose I think I'd like my football players to get in fights over being a sex offender.

JJ has had problems, including being caught cheating with Ridley last year. He has shown zero leadership, nor has displayed any concern for his actions and their consequences. You can sugarcoat this anyway you want, but the reality is out there.

I do not want a thug of any kind representing LSU in any capacity. If Jefferson kicked this guy while on the ground, I hope Miles kicks him off the team. Period!

+ 10000000000000. If found to be true, he should be kicked off, no doubt. It was a marine, a guy who serves this country so that dumbass Jefferson can have the freedom to play the game of football.

You are absolutely right. People act like these turds are the first and only LSU football players to mix it up a little after hours at a bar. The fact of the matter is simple. They shouldn't have been there. Period. The decisions to be there that each and everyone of the turds made is yet another example of bullshite selfishness and and lack of true dedication and committment to being a champion. Oh so they had a tough camp and need to release some steam? Go get a keg and set it up in that pimp arse game room with the pool table where you don't risk being in situations like this one. I know it sucks boys, but its a small sacrifice true champions have to make, but that's just it. They aren't true champions now are they? Average at best SOB's. Peach Bowl here we come!
