My stalker has returned recently. Ever since PM called a hit and run on a 3-0 pitch...

OMG! What a move! That's just the type of coaching genius that will give this team momentum towards a great postseason run.

Calling a 3-0 hit and run is the new inserting a freshman Austin Nola at shortstop and moving DJ Lemahieu to 2B. Coach Mainieri is the bestest.

Would've been a very hard throw to make, considering his momentum.

But not impossible.

I would be upset if a player on LSU did not attempt that throw. Definitely could've gotten him with a perfect toss.

Watson did the right thing. Had the guy dove and caught it, and Watson doesn't score, or even worse gets doubled up, all of you would lose your mind.

The left fielder thought it was cool to give up and assume they lost. One thing that's been taught to me throughout my sports playing days, and something i'll always tell me kids, you never give up b/c you never know what might happen. It ain't over til it's over.
Yeah it would have been difficult to get Watson out on the throw home, but it's impossible if you don't even try.

What if Kramer had turned around on the relay and said nah I'm not tryouts my that and just gave up on the play? There was a very unlikely chance and that play took not one but two perfect throws to get the guy out at home. That play may have saved the game. You don't know how either team reacts if that guy scores. Point is in that situation you have to at least try. If Duplantis did that this board would lose its collective mind.

I'm trying to figure out why the LF was playing normal position. He should of been way up to catch a line drive because a fly ball in his normal position they lose the game. Bad coaching on SC part

Doesn't diechman bat after Duplantis?

So, if you go back to game one Deichman came up late in the game with the bases loaded and grounded out on first pitch to end the inning... got to set up the play that gets you out of the pickle.
