Someone on here linked an article before the draft quoting Henry as saying he would have to be picked in the 2nd or 3rd round to forego LSU.

He's absolutely a weekend arm.

This is a dream signee, been watching Landon all year thinking there was no way we would get him. Likely Friday night starter. His dad kept insisting he was going to play for the Tigers.

For those who follow baseball recruiting, what is the fastball like?

From what I've gathered.
Pretty average fastball. Going to sit low 90s with great control and a major league curve

Is there really that much of a difference when facing a pitcher that can throw 90 compared to 95? I’m just curious how much these speeds added on to the high end actually matter. I’m not a baseball player so serious question

95 will overpower a lot of college hitters.
95 will not overpower a lot of MLB hitters.

Just about every highschool hitter will see 90 at some point. Most of the guys coming to LSU have seen 90 pretty regularly. You don't come across 95 too regularly in high school.

95 will get on you real quick

I wanted to upvote your "gif" with Mainieri, but there were 62 ups and 0 downs . 62-0! Had to leave it alone.
