Can't blame him for moving on wish him the best...remember he has a degree to his name...all the players who leave without finishing school are idiots...you have been given a free education and all the opportunity in the world in those four years...

You need to get off your high horse and quit judging this kid. You're either judging him or you're really trolling hard. He graduated and got a degree. Why he decided to leave is immaterial. That's the reality of it.
You know nothing about why he decided to do what he did. He was a contributor to the football program and a decent one. He stuck it out for years. He deserves that much. Graduating with a degree is even better.
He has a degree and can go on to whatever it is he chooses to do.

just because he got mad and quit when he didn't get the carries that he wanted in the Vanderbilt game.
This is your opinion and a juvenile one at that. I would venture to say this decision didn't come lightly but he's done after this season. If he'd rather go on to making a career in something else at this point in his life, that's great. I'm sure he's discussed this decision with the coaches.

You’re not allowed to question certain people the Rant mob deems saintly here. Quitting on your team for no apparent reason in the middle of a run is fine and dandy but don’t you dare skip a meaningless bowl game to safeguard you and your family’s future.

Wish him the best. There's no shame in this. The guy is a good athlete. A lot of good athletes aren't quite SEC good. But he's no chump and he never complained or made an arse of himself

He was part of a package deal for his brother.. I never thought he'd be a starter.. But we got our moneys worth out the deal no doubt..

LOL. No, it's not just my opinion that he quit because he didn't get enough playing time in the Vanderbilt game. There have been multiple people with direct knowledge of the situation who have reported that that's exactly why he quit.
quote:Maybe to you. But this is still basically a free country, and, if I want to, I'm still allowed to decide for myself that quitting on his team in the middle of the season because he didn't get enough playing time makes Lanard a crummy person of low character.
Why he decided to leave is immaterial.

You are also free to shut the frick up. You've spammed this thread with your idiotic opinions. We get it. Very few people agree with you. Just shut up and go do something useful with your day.

I was taught to think neither of these scenarios is ok.....but then again, I'm not some pansy-assed snowflake.

That's not for anyone else to decide but him. Calling him a quitter sounds pretty silly after he spent 4.5 years here and obtained his degree. Sounds like he follows through on the things that matter to him. Obviously college football wasn't one of those things.
Great....then why start the season in the first place?
