hell i wouldn't be shocked if tolliver becomes our #1 threat and lafell is #2

Someone has a better chance of supplanting Tolliver at #2 than Tolliver does of supplanting Lafell at #1. Tolliver is much more likely to be our #3 than our #1.

JJ is IBVIOUSLY our future
He didn't seem to disagree. He was just pointing out that running the ball as much as Jefferson has, he is likely to get hurt at some point in the season. If he misses many games due to that, and if Lee can improve on the INT problem, then the passing yardage should go up significantly as the offense adjusts to the backup Lee for several games.

If we get RR, we'll have yet another year of having a stable of amazing WR's that seemingly underperforms because the ball is spread out so much. Dickson will still be one of the favorite recievers seeing as TE's generally run shorter routes and that seems to fit our QB's abilities.

JJ is not going to sit in the pocket and throw.. if his first guy or second isnt open, dude is gone,,,

He actually stays in the pocket VERY long, longer than Lee did, because Lee would usually get rid of the ball much sooner, for better or worse.

I like that fact that JJ seemed to only run when it was a last resort, at least that's how I saw it.

And a lot of the runs came from him just sitting in the pocket and struggling to read a D sometimes, which is understandable for a true freshman.

Not saying you did this but.......some did not give JL the benefit of the doubt on that this past season.....anyway I hope for his sake that JJ does as well as most of the posters on here say he will

The more of the playbook he learns, the less he runs. You saw so much running because he was a true freshman and likely was told by the coaches, when in doubt, tuck it and run, and that's what he did. Once he becomes more confident, he has more options to go to and more plays to choose from, and as a result you will see less running.
