I pulled it from a news article

LSU has now win 16 games in a row and hasn’t moved a spot since the week 1 poll. I get we had a rough start to the season, but we lost game 1, went through some internal issues, but have taken control of every game we have played in since.

It’s time for the national media to start paying attention again.

Also worth mentioning a key point from last season.

The only thing that matters in the big picture is finishing in the Top 16 and earning a 4 seed or better. Do that and you get to host the first two rounds and guaranteed placement in a different region than top conference opponents (USCe).

I know it seems like they should have moved up in that time frame, but the only teams ahead of them that have lost are the Colorado team who beat them and the NC St team who beat Colorado. It’s hard to argue that any of the teams ranked above LSU don’t deserve to be there based solely on this season.

Iowa lost to Kansas State. But Caitlyn Clark and her 40 shots attempted a game can't be moved down in the polls.

Watch on ESPN home page. They will ask for your streaming package and then you tell them Hulu.

Sure would be nice in retrospect, but this was before we got dangerously thin. We were looking at a starting lineup of: Reese, Morrow, Williams, Johnson—and either HVL or Rogers.

And neither HVL nor Rogers was going to transfer to LSU to sit on the bench. I’m sure that when HVL signed the dotted line, that slammed the door on Rogers’s interest.

And even with our depth problems, we’d still have the same situation in the back court. Somebody out of Williams, Johnson, HVL, or Rogers would have to sit. And none of those four are going to sit. When we got HVL it was foreordained that Rogers was headed elsewhere. We could have gotten one or the other but not both.

I believe LSU could have added a couple more quality players who would have come off the bench. LSU before the loss of Poole/Smith had 3 open scholarships they decided to sit on. I think listening to Kim lately getting aggravated by her bench players tells me she is going to prioritize having a bench this offseason and there is going to be movement on this roster.

I never understand why players come in and take a spot and then don't do anything to get playing time. CKM will develop you and make you eligible for the WNBA or whatever. Are they not buying in?

You have to understand the sport’s political journalists voting, our WBB team is the oxymoron of all college sports: hear me out I’m not stating an opinion but just what I think is happening:
Face of LSU Natty program:
CKM - hard nosed old school coach, who had a conservative stance against the Covid ruse , didn’t comment at all towards the Britney G situation, Wins Championships, huge ego- exact opposite of media darling Dawn Staley(also big ego) but same results coaching, They hate Mulkey but they know she’s great for the sport.
Angel R- great player, self absorbed not destructive yet, huge ego(all the greats have it) went against the Media “white” darling aggressively- pissed off half the fans, ignited the other half.
Don’t get me wrong CC has earned the accolades no doubt but don’t think that race doesn’t factor into this in today’s world. So what I’m saying it’s a tug of war the way this team is viewed by voters. Politics plays a huge role in today’s sports. It would be easier for them to hate LSU if CC & CKM were together. So I KNOW I’m rambling but it’s Saturday morning I’ve got nothing else to do soooo….
The voters are at a crossroads voting for us: right leaning voters love CKM and vote accordingly: left leaning love Angel and vote accordingly. LSU has it all so the play on the court in the end is all that counts. Win like last year and polls don’t really matter. If you know what I’m trying to say, you know- if not you didn’t finish reading anyhow.
