Can anyone confirm the exact highway and mile marker that this happened at?
Just go on google earth and look for where Hwy 304 and Hwy 20 meet just north of thibodaux. It's a big curve and there's a church in the curve. Just south of the church is a dollar general. It happened in front of the dollar general.

So it happened in the middle of town?

I read a lot of this thread expecting more details than what has been said anywhere on this story. So far all I got is a lady crossed the centerline and hit another car head on allegedly in front of Lacy. I never got the point of whether Lacy was in process of passing the car that got hit or what.
But with that said I looked at Google maps at the location you described and I dont see a lot of reason for anyone to cross the centerlane in this type of encounter as it looks like there is ample room to hit the shoulder on both N and S lanes. That does not necessarily excuse a driver in this instance because you never know what people will do in an emergency.
I got to be missing something.

Between you and Sammy, y'all are all in on defending Lacy....like it is personal. This is all fkn ludicrous. If he was truly innocent, he doesn't kill himself. Anyone with a brain knows he was speeding trying to pass people (like you see everyday by black younger men) and ran out of real estate and caused the first person to bail off the side of the road, while the other went the opposite way. It isn't very hard to understand. There were multiple witnesses, and NOBODY was targeting him because he was black.....Lacy was going down. Really weird you are n here over and over defending him. Seems something is personal here....and Sammy, well he has always defended black man.

the person in front of her went off the side of the road, I guess she was trying to avoid that....who knows in that situation. People think they know, but until it happens they don't. Also, obviously, none of this would have happened without a SERIOUS reason to bail out....which means someone was coming directly at them. Multiple witnesses say it was Lacy. It really isn't that hard unless you are just trying to defend him no matter what.

Not defending him, but very much against all of the haters everywhere. Chris Singleton said it best: "mistakes are broadcast to a worldwide audience with unlimited coverage on social media apps, online blogs, message boards and other media platforms. They get criticized by complete strangers for anything, which impacts their mental health.
As I have stated before, he should be innocent until proven guilty and not been verbally attacked everywhere he turned..
The linked article is spot on how I feel about KL2.

I am only trying to piece together what happened. Not condeming or defending him at this point as a lot of details are missing.
First I heard that a car in front of the one that crossed the centerline even existed much less hit the shoulder. The other piece that is not easy to understand is Lacy's lawyer stating that the accident happened in front of him. The main arguement on here is that he was passing and ran people off the road into a collision.

That smug lawyer needs his arse kicked.

You don't know that at all. In the other thread, which you may not have read, there was a poster who claimed to know the family. He said Lacy had been having issues months before the accident ever happened. If that's the case, the accident may have been a contributing factor, but even that doesn't mean he wasn't innocent. He could have been innocent and afraid he would still be found guilty if the grand jury indicted, for example. Your statement is not fact and you have nothing on which to base it. It's purely speculation.

"Poor kid" killed someone driving like a fricking maniac, then fled the scene like the criminal he is, destroying his NFL future, and then offed himself when he realized how fricking stupid he is. There's nothing worthy of pity about this kid. It's shitty decision making by people who don't give a frick about anybody else and finally having the face the consequences of those shitty decisions.

My understanding (my post history proves my lack of bias either way) is:
KL went to pass illegally, the first vehicle in the lane ahead of him swerved to the right to avoid him; the second vehicle pulled to the left across the other lane; the vehicle he was passing hit the second vehicle that had swerved in front of them, and the way ahead now clear, KL cruised on and away.

Also interesting that there’s a civil suit against another driver in the accident.
This is not as interesting from a legal standpoint. They always sue everyone with even the slightest potential liability. Part of this is procedural because they have time limits or do not want to bring someone in later and part of it is to make sure they pull as many pockets into a lawsuit as possible. Many will fold and pay rather than having to fight.

Defending his right to have his day in court without the mob screaming Guilty! Murderer! Thug!
Even Nick Saban said that young people pay too much attention to what people they don't know post online.
He didn't have a chance as he was a very emotional person and this was a classic example of bullying.

LSU has some of the worst fans. Idk what happened to this fanbase. Makes me embarrassed to be a Tiger. No wonder big time recruits go somewhere else. These players are young kids. They deserve our support. Not to be thrown under the bus and ridiculed by unathletic fat white armchair QBs. Y’all treat mental health like it’s nothing. Keep living in your Walmart sponsored bubbles.

For anyone on Facebook go to Kenny Lacy's page.
There is a linked TikTok video of Kyren and 4 more Kyrens dancing.
Shows the fun side of him.
Edited because I didn't see that all 5 dancers were him.
