Football players are humans and this was a classic “letdown” spot. An in state game you’ll win even if you don’t play particularly well sandwiched between two massively emotional games. It’s the least shocking thing ever that they had a sluggish and unfocused performance.

Was there one player on the entire Tech team that was recruited by LSU?
If not, that shows you just how important scheme and coaching is in college football.
Who do you think would win between Clemson and Tech....I say in a low scoring game.

Ole Miss has given up so many yards on the ground.

Casual take. LA Tech plays a scheme that most wouldn’t attempt, especially on a 1 week prep cycle. Their scheme is built to turn the weakness of playing a lot of undersized guys up front into a strength by doing something no one sees regularly with them.
Will teams try to drop 8, but still keeping 8-10 in the box? Sure. They will dare us to beat them over the top and back them up. And based on his past performance and what we know of this scheme and offensive coaching, eventually Leavitt will be able to do that. It’s just a matter of when.
When that happens, what LA Tech had success with last night will get your teeth kicked in.
