Good, that's the way it should be. Support your school. Hell if football games ended after 3 quarters, Tech might have a hell of a program.

I was in Ruston the other day, actually.

Nice town. Really different up that way, but it's a nice town.

I went to Canes and the girl taking my order couldn't understand me. I don't even have that big an accent, but it's a marked difference from what they're used to up there I guess.

Oh, sorry about that then LaLSU10. I hope to see you among the blue faithful this weekend then! Plus you are obviously right about there being SOME students at Tech that will support both LSU and Tech. It used to be pretty bad, but I'm so happy to see things shifting in Ruston now to where students are becoming a lot more hardcore Bulldog fans. The student attendance and rowdyness at The Joe has shot WAYY up and is MUCH better than when I was in school there.

I'm also laughing at the "3 quarters" comment, because that's been said by us Tech folks a lot this year, followed by laughter, followed by tears.

On academics, I went to both Tech and LSU, and know lots of people at both places. You really can't say one school's better than the other in general. There are just too many things to compare, and some things fit certain people more than they do others. Engineering and IT stuff is excellent at Tech, although ULL is the top Computer Science school in the state, hands-down. Business is surprisingly a toss-up between Tech and LSU. Liberal Arts are very weak at Tech, while they're big at LSU. Tech actually has an Ag school, believe it or not, but of course it's not as big as LSU's. Tech's got aviation, LSU doesn't. Tech has a much better student-teacher ratio than LSU, but LSU's size gives you more choices for activities and such. They're both considered "national universities" with a lot of good research and plenty of graduate programs. I hate LSU athletics and am a Tech guy 110%, but I will NOT disparage an LSU grad's education. The fact that someone busted arse and made it through college to have a career is an accomplishment, no matter where they went.

I was at the Boise State game..

TBH Tech could have won that game if they'd stayed with that power set in the first half. Boise couldn't stop it, then they went to that shotgun look and it killed all their momentum until they went back under center in the 2nd.

That was a nice game.

Dude, we have a MORON for an OC that has personally thrown probably at least half our losses this year. Dooley hired his dumb arse from Tulane, so go figure. We DESTROY out of the power set, and Dooley's SEC-style offense is "starting" to take shape, though it'll be a while before it really rolls. Why jackass Scelfo goes into that predictable bullcrap shotgun stuff, NO ONE understands. We were pummeling Auburn with that power set too, as well as all of our opponents. When healthy, we have FIVE extremely good RBs that we rotate out constantly and it keeps us 100% fresh to run that set. We've got two badass TEs that can block (thank God they'll be in the LSU game) and our OL is.... okay. Our FB is pretty good too, but he's among the massive group of injured right now. Someone should catch Scelfo in an alleyway and teach him a lesson for the world's worst and most mindless offensive scheme. He's like Crowton on steroids with his stupidity.

Yeah, it was ridiculous. I kept telling my buddy "why the hell are they not running from the I?" We were joking around that Crowton was doing double duty for Tech and LSU. I was half expecting to see some weakside option.

That shotgun delayed handoff does not work. The wildcat looked okay (I guess it was Livas taking the snap..dude is fast) but man they just demolished Boise's small arse D-line with the power set but refused to run it.

lol I thought they were going to end up winning, though. That 2nd half was nuts. When the TE (I can't remember his name) made that sick catch I knew it was a game.

I think Tech will be alright once we inject this next batch of Dooley recruits into the game and redshirts start falling off guys. We'll HAVE to dump Scelfo as OC this offseason though. Our athletes are some badasses though, it's just that Scelfo does NOT know how to play to their strengths whatsoever. LSU is said to be a national title contender if only Crowton knew how to play to the strengths they have because obviously they have insane athletes. Tech has MORE than enough good athletes to dominate the WAC, but has the same problem with Scelfo. He also seems to run a totally different scheme away than he does in Ruston.... WTF

LSU's academinx programs are ranked in the top 100 in business(57th), law(75th), engineering(85th), architecture (2nd, liberal arts(76th), and education(91st). Also, Entrepreneur magazine ranked LSU the 12th best Entrepreneurial college in the nation. La Tech isn't in one of those lists, so lets end this debate.

Please! Every time we play La. Tech there's always some Bulldog fan who insists that their academics are better than LSU's, which they are not.

Didn't "have to" they chose to after Katrina. People have no idea how badly Katrina affected Tulane financially. They will probably bring engineering back down the road, but it will take time.

I really love it when people believe their own bullshite. Please find me one publication that has La Tech ranked in front of LSU from an academic standpoint. LSU has higher admission standards, better students, better professors, etc.

LSU > La Tech both on and OFF the field.

I guess you failed to inform U.S. New and World that Tech is in the top tier. I don't see them on the list.

That stuff doesn't matter, this guy KNOWS because he went to both schools. I have a friend at ULL that pulls the same crap.
