I wish I could understand what Johnson is teaching these guys as far as plate approaches go. We are not only failing to make any contact on pitches, we have absolutely no clue what’s coming when we should. Thompson struck out twice in a row on the exact same pitch sequence. Any moron that casually follows the game of baseball could see he was going to get nothing but off speed pitches (outside of a show me fastball off the plate) just like the previous at bat. And we have no impact freshmen on this roster in the field. None. Zilch.
This team is so poor in so many areas. And Floyd might as well enter the transfer portal now. He’s a sophomore with a full year of experience and off season work and doesn’t have a secondary pitch?!? That tells me all I need to know about the state of this program right now.
Not impressed.

The most disappointing thing is the lack of timely hitting. We knew coming into the season that pitching would be a significant weakness.

There is a lot of frustrating things, but lack of situational awareness and errors top the list. We aren’t succeeding in things we can control, and that shows poor preparation. No excuse for the bunt scenario, walking in a run, or the error in the 9th. Those are controllable. If we can’t even control those things how are we supposed to positively react to uncontrollable things.

Agreed Rjlebla ,this is third loss of a 9th inning lead along with multiple Es bout every game.In the post game interview Johnson sounded upset. He made the comment "he didn't recall ever coaching a game with his team striking out 20 times."I don't know where we go from here but I'm tired of this shite show that better coaching Can fix!

Remeber all the pre-season hype over this coach? Lmao. tRant told me he was going to win it all. We fired CPM for this?

Don’t forget last four games over 50 strike outs. JJ said he was going teach hitters discipline at plate.
