yes. seems ligit.
Couldn't make it out of the 2nd round in the tournament.

Blanton and Roberts would take a back seat to Macklin and Pettit every day of the week.

I would definitely put Tyrus and Shaq on the floor together. No one would score in the paint.

Chris and Pete could score all the points anyways if they wanted.

SI had one a few years ago and the final 4 were LSU,unc, ucla and Houston with ucla beating unc in the finals. BTW , LSU and Houston were the only schools with 3 players on the top 50 NBA players of all time that was presented about 10 yrs ago at the NBA All-Star Game....

University of Houston has to be on the list as well... Elvin Hayes, Clyde Drexler, Hakeem Otis Birdsong, Don Chaney would be a great starting 5

Bob Pettit is a must.

I can't believe this thread started out without Bob Pettit. Young people obviously don't know shite about basketball history at all. Bob Pettit retired from the NBA as the ALL TIME leading scorer. He was the only player voted MVP for the NBA championship series, and he played on the losing team!! In college, he led LSU to their first Final Four, was all SEC 3 years & All-American 2 years. They retired his number. Damn people, Bob Pettit would make ANY school's Top 5, but it is embarrasing that any LSU fan would not include him in their Top 5...just fricking dumb...

And Chaney & Hayes would have played for LSU if not for the color barrier at the time...Guy Lewis can thank his lucky stars for ever getting a chance to have them both @ UH. Had they played at LSU, would have been amazing- Pistol Pete along side a great defensive guard (Chaney) and a true Power Forward/Center in Hayes. We can only wonder how good that team would have been.
