He clearly bats lead off because of his ability to put pressure on defenses and score if he gets on. I’m not saying where he should be batting. I’m more-so pushing back on people who act like he sucks and incapable of playing college baseball. That’s the implication made by a lot of posters on here. What’s equally funny is acting like one SO cancels out two other at bats where he made solid contact and got an rbi. Apparently it’s not always a guaranteed SO or out when he plays. Who would have thought?

He has been bad this year. Thats not really debatable. You’re right, a SO doesn’t cancel out his hit. Just like that one hit doesn’t cancel out how he has been performing all year long.
