The hype for this kid is nearly identical to what Key had. Seems like the future is bright for the Tigers.

I think the hype for him is a little more than what Key had. Key was hyped up but it got really big after the first game playing State if I remember correctly.

O was the line coach then and was giving him a ton of accolades out of camp.

Chiasson and key are very very alike but chaisson might have been hyped a little more because he played high school at a high level . 6A Texas usually has stiff competition.

If I recall, Key wasn't hyped because he showed up for camp late (grade reasons?) and it wasn't until he put pads when people started realizing he was going to be a monster. I think more people knew how huge of a get Chaisson was, especially when there was talk on NSD that he might flip to Texas.

I just can't see BYUs OL handling the Power/speed we have in the middle, as well as the Speed/power we have outside, not to mention what we will bring in the middle LB position. My goodness it's going to be a guess as to who is actually coming, could literally be anyone. Even with Key out we will be extremely versital. Running the football and 3rd and long need to be avoided lol

Every year we all have our favorites in a class. A few years back when all of the 5 for 5 stuff was talked about Adams was the guy I liked because he was all-lsu. We courted guys like Hootie, Tony Brown but Adams was the one I really wanted besides LF obviously. He just seemed like a guaranteed impact guy. This year it was Chaisson. We missed out on several guys but he was the one I really wanted. He was hands down the best player at the under armor game. I feel like this dude is as can't miss as they come.

The hype really started for Key when he showed up in August of last year, all pumped up. You could tell he was a more advanced physical specimen than the other freshmen.

I just said to the GF(she's a very knowledgeable fan) that I haven't been this excited for a DE/LB since we snatched Big Sam outta South Carolina.

He will be playing alot, starting with the byu game. He has too much talent to keep him on the bench. We have to get him alot of snaps on defense rushing the qb. He looks like a grown arse man and he's only 18! Just imagine what kind of freak he will be in 2 more years of developing. He might be better than arden key, and thats saying alot. Can't wait to see this kid. Can't wait to see how grant delpit looks at s and jacoby stevens looks at wr. We have some young talent that's for sure. Geaux tigers!

He was a sophomore last year, and had lots of hype the year before.

Same thing could be said about Jacob Phillips, Ray Thornton, Sci Martin, and Michael Divinity Jr. LSU is going to have the best LB squad in the country and that's saying something after putting out good LB's in a 4-3 D. Now you have that extra LB. Those guys are trained killers.

Adams wasn't one of the original 5 for 5. We didn't recruit Adams much until Hootie revealed he wasn't really interested in LSU.

Ehh, the recruiting board was extremely hyped for Key after the high school All American game. Me personally I thought and stated on there that he was the best looking player there.

Chaisson is almost a carbon copy of Key and hopefully plays even better. If that's even possible.

He didn't say Adams was a 5 for 5 guy.
