We all know Chaisson had a great spring game, but I wanted to go into a little detail on some of his best plays.

Here's a great inside Spin move:

Chaisson starts completely off the screen here. He has tons speed and wants to us that to his advantage. He lines up way outside so that he can either beat the tackle to the edge or cause the tackle to overextend so he can make a move back inside.

Chaisson pushes hard upfield, which causes Magee to overextend himself.

Once Chaisson sees that the Magee has taken the bait, he swats at Magee's inside arm to set up leverage inside.

Chaisson then implements the spin move and uses his left arm to hook around Magee's inside shoulder to gain leverage for the spin move.

Chaisson now has a free shot at the QB and is actually held a little bit by Magee

It took Chaisson about 2.6 seconds to get to Narcisse according to my stopwatch. Fantastic speed.

Next are two plays that Chaisson just flat out beats the TE and then the Tackle on speed alone:

Chaisson lines up with a good bit of width here. about a yard or two outside of the TE

Chaisson pushes hard upfield to try to beat Moreau to the edge. He drops his inside shoulder well and ducks under Moreau's reach

Got to Brennan in 2.45 seconds

Here Chaisson is lined up on the inside shoulder of the slot receiver.

Chaisson beats Traore to the edge and swats traore's hands

Chaisson was able to get to Brennan in 2.15 seconds here

On the next play I want to highlight, Chaisson does a wonderful job being chipped by a TE and then beating the RT for a strip sack.

Chaisson lined up outside of the TE

Tight End chips Chaisson's outside shoulder, but Chaisson is able to get skinny in order to avoid most of the block.

Chaisson is then able to immediately dip/rip his inside shoulder/arm to keep Magee's hands off of him.

Chaisson is then able to circle around after Narcisse steps up and strip the ball away as Narcisse is throwing it.

Chaisson shows athleticism, awareness, and great pass rushing technique here. All in 3.5 seconds.

Pretty sure that is the limit to what one post can hold.

No idea who townvoted you but thanks for the breakdown.

I think physically he is a freak and just needed to be comfortable enough to let it rip.

In the 1st breakdown only #8 is left in the middle to stop Jalen and Fitzpatrick when they feel Chassion and break upfield?

Yeah Arden never worked hard at LSU

Just smoked weed and those QBs tripped over him 16 times in 2016.

It looks like the light has come on for him. If so, God have mercy on opposing tackles this season.

He definitely learned how to use his techniques a lot better than he did last year.

I thought he did a good job of not getting tangled up with the tackles which seemed to be his biggest weakness a year ago.

The one that stands out to me is the third play where Chaisson is lined up on the inside shoulder of the slot.

LOS is right at the 35 and Chaisson and the slot are both lined up right on it. Flip to the next screenshot and you see that WR 3.5 yards down field. In that same time, Chaisson made it 5.5 yards upfield. He covers more distance than any of the three near side uncovered WRs in that first second of the play. Outstanding burst

Totally disagree, Arden Key had great freshman and sophomore seasons, then received bad advice from someone, a family member maybe. But he strangely took off from LSU a year ago and went somewhere, I don't know where and did who knows whatever, and came back totally out of shape and not looking interested in playing his jr season. He got terrible advice that he could just go into the NFL based off those 2 great seasons, and that was his undoing. He got stuff fixed I guess that he had been in need of repairing and just blew off his last season, and now he's paying for it.

But they had people on here downplaying Chiasson, saying he wasn't as good as Key and now all of a sudden they have jumped back on the wagon. You can see this kid wants to be great and will do whatever is necessary to be just that. He may not have had a great frosh season like Key did, but I think he will break out this season.

I don't think you can call going to rehab "bad advice".

That's not what I'm talking about, there y'all go with the incorrect misinterpretation BS. I'm talking about him choosing to rest on his laurels based on those 2 great seasons he had , and not really continuing working hard in his jr campaign, dude blew off his last season and is now paying the price.

He's an incredibly fluid athlete that had only played football for a couple of years when he got to LSU.

He appears to have learned some great pass rushing moves and added some good muscle mass.

He just might become a superstar. He is a really good basketball player too so you know he has decent ball skills in coverage (also made a couple coverage plays against ND).
