of LSU in the event Miles lays an egg this year?

I can't see Smart staying as Alabama's DC waiting for UGA to implode. And even though it is thought that the only job Smart would accept would be UGA, I can't see him turning down the position at LSU when Les Miles finally gets the boot in Baton Rouge. That's important to Florida State fans as well, because assuming Fisher does a decent job with the 'Noles, he would be on LSU's short list
.

The last place you would expect to find this

Kirby Smart is not ready to be an SEC HC yet IMO. He needs to show he can be a HC at a mid major/small BCS school. Jimbo? Meh...

What a terrible list. Smart isn't even the true DC of Bama, it belongs to Saban. That is like taking TCU's DC, thinking he had control of the defense in the games...

Fisher would need more than a year to prove hes a HC, so I doubt hes on LSU's short list. Unless he takes them to the house this year. I'm not convinced Fisher will ever be a good HC personally.

HC coaching searches are all about timing (see Bama/Saban). This could work out for LSU should Miles leave for Michigan.

Miles buys himself another 3-4 years after this season with an SEC championship game appearance.

IMO Miles has at least 2 years w/ 7 or 8 win seasons. Next season with 8 wins, Crowton gone. That buys him one more year, then after that.... see ya.

If that is the best we can get for Miles, then Miles needs to stay. I can't believe I just said that.

Will might be good--hell, they all might wind up being good, but the only 3 coaches in this thread mentioned have coached all of ZERO games as head coaches. Zero. This is who you tards have at the top of the list?

Jerry Jones will go after Saban after this season is over. Two years later Saban realizes he made another mistake. In the meantime Les has guided LSU to subpar 2011 and 2012 seasons and Saban comes back to LSU.

Just had to do it. Know some people want this scenario to play out.

I want some of what you are smoking! Anyone who thinks Miles will be fired for 4 losses this year is insane.

i love idiots who want to turn over a powerhouse program to an unproven coach, just because they think he may do a good job
