Woodward just went out and got the best WBB coach period. She instantly becomes the face of LSU sports and establishes a new, positive narrative in the media. It's hard to put a value on that. The only issue is does the product that she puts on the floor make the deal profitable in a strictly accounting term for LSU. I think the answer is yes, but even if not, when you look at the big picture, this a huge win and a no brainer.

They make it up with higher property taxes which is common with states that doesn't have a state tax.

Agree. It’ll go north of 3 million by the end of the contract from what I’ve read. But no one could reasonably expect her to make less and not get increases. As someone else pointed out, she’ll be huge part of the face of LSU athletics and I think a prolific fund raiser that will make her salary irrelevant in the big picture.
