Yes , he is a great offensive mind , but not a head coach . Watching him on the sideline , his facial expressions transmitted “ OMG , we are in trouble !” You cant do that , because players pick up on that vibe . I think he is really immature also . When he coached for Saban his offense was driving and he was taking phone calls from a girlfriend ! Really ?? I’m sure Nick was happy .

He's basically a modern day reincarnation of the Old Ball Coach.

Have you seen Brian Kelly on the sidelines? Dude does not hide his emotions well at all either. He's not taking phone calls, but you can tell what he's thinking as soon as a play is over. I am lukewarm on Kiffin, but don't bash him for the same shite all our non-Les Miles coaches do/did.

This. If they couldn’t see it with Jimbo at A&M and now Kiffin at OM, I doubt they will ever see it.

Without the Heisman and, you know, winning championships and stuff.

Spurrier was and is a bad arse who talked shite because he could back it up. Kiffin is just a punk.

Kiffin will never get the same financial support for a season again, with all the talent he picked up + the talent he had coming back. Dreams went up into ashes and it isn’t even November.

Yeah, and they and the big donors know it, now too. Bill Jordan’s (RealTree) son was tweeting trying to rally support last night after the game and it wasn’t working.

This. It’s the next shiny object.

Then, in 4-5 years, they’ll get tired of his act and run his juvenile arse off. Playing on Twitter all week and then putting it on cruise control Saturday may work in Oxford…they’ll abide that, they’re just happy to get some shine. But in Gainesville, they’ve tasted national titles, they expect some effort and results.

He knows his arse is going to hear about it from the boosters/contributors. etc. It was tee'd up for OM this year with the experienced returners and impactful transfers. Swing and big miss! And it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

I’ve been telling everyone here since this offseason that Kiffin and OM would be good, but would still frick this up. It’s what they both do. It’s what they always do. I got downvoted to hell at the time, but here we are and I was 100% right.

Kiffin’s absolute ceiling as a HC is 10-11 wins per year. I don’t care if he’s at Bama. He just is who he is.

Anyone interested in competing for a NC would do well to stay far, far away.

I can tell you one big fricking difference between Lame and Spurrier- the ole ball coach took losses like a man afterwards. He told it like it was in those post game pressers, gave full credit to the other team, and said they just weren’t good enough.

Lane fell pretty far short of that last night.

grant you that, but, imo Spurrier is a douche, had a decent run at Fl, practicing NIL before it was NIL, thugs for players, got his arse handed to him in the NFL, couldn’t do shite at scar

Exactly! Except without the championships, conference titles and consistent winning.....other than that the same.

In all fairness he was without his top receiver and one other key player. Their D appeared gassed in the late 4th qtr.

Hell, we were missing 3 receivers for four quarters, so I have no sympathy. And yes their defense did look gassed and our defense didn't - given that they ran more plays than we did I would conclude we are in better shape.

Look - this was supposed to be the year, Ole Miss got their Nill collective together and bought the top transfer class in the country. This was supposed to be maybe Ole Miss's most talented team ever. Oh well

I wouldn't write them off just yet. They run the table they will likely be in. That's a big IF though. A win over Georgia would do wonders, depending on how Georgia fares this week against Texas (I for one don't think Ga is all that this year). OM is very very talented on both sides of the ball (although OL is suspect)...but they have a douche for a coach.

what has Kiffin EVER won as a head coach? He has been a head coach at 5 different stops now, including the NFL.
