While it's still fairly early in the season and we haven't faced any really stout offenses I think Steele has done a pretty damn good job thus far. Our line play has significantly improved and with Mills back I think our secondary will be amazing.

I admit I wasn't happy at all about the hire but like yall I have no choice but to hope for the best.

Let's face it...Miles wanted O and Corey to stay and only so many guys are DC quality, that would also keep all assistants and coach LBs. If you think about it, the hire makes perfect sense in that respect.

You can argue on the move otherwise, but most big name DCs would want their guys. Plus Steele could recruit and knows the SEC and Bama.

D line hasn't done much. Lacouture is so overrated Gilmore should start.

D has maintained, Recruiting has skyrocketed. Seems like a home run hire so far.

Our D Line is much improved, considering they are thin up front.

Mills is going to take the defense to the next level. In 2013 everyone knew Mills was in over his head at CB but they had to keep him on the field because he understood the game and had good instincts. Moving Mills to safety was a brilliant move and having him play nickel in Steele's scheme should work really well. I think the defense will shut down opponents once they can't assault our nickel.

Positives: recruiting, edge rushing, exotic pressures and NO 3rd and Chavis. Concerns: loss of focus especially late in the game.

Overall, I like the hire. Mostly, I think about the players and the game so there something to be said in my mind for a coach who isn't the story. Who puts his players in the position to shine.

LaCouture has basically been playing nose tackle. His job isn't to get tackles or make plays in the backfield.

we really haven't faced any good offensive teams, and a couple were down to 3rd or 4th quarterback. Still they are averaging 20+ points on our defense. I don't see anything special yet. I'll reserve judgement until later.

I definitely like the upgrade in recruiting. Too early to judge the hire but right now I will admit I am a little worried.

But the 4th down conversions were scary. If we can't stop USC on 4th, why shouldn't everyone go for it on 4th?

Would Kevin or "O" be responsible for that decision. I have the right to respectfully disagree with your analysis. and I do. We're 5 and 0. Enjoy the moment.

Our defense looked at its best against Mississippi St in the first half. Then they got tired. I honestly think we have been pretty bland since that game on defense. Hopefully the endurance has improved for the upcoming games. I expect the blitzing and different looks to ramp up.

I agree. I am cautiously optimistic on the defense. We will still be very good. Not sure if we will be great.

Wait are you the same dumbass that claimed he only had 1 tackle? Ignore the position he plays or the number of tackles the LB behind him has? Can you be more fricking wrong? Nahhhh
