The rant standard when someone obviously can’t hold a conversation. Lol.
So right now I am very high on Kelly as our head coach. The following is only to answer why anyone would have possibly felt like we settled taking Brian Kelly before really getting to know about him.
First off, he was an out of the blue hire. A man over 60 yrs old that is from Boston coming to Baton Rouge to take on the team culture disaster O left behind? Odd cultural fit upon first glance to say the least. That was talked about ad nauseam on every talk show in the country. Notre Dame sets its own schedule, they have no conference championship, they have had a lot of trouble once they made the big games they ended up in because of this. Most of us did not know his attention to detail and accountability when at Notre Dame just because we hadn't followed him that closely. Literally not one person including Brian Kelly knew he could come in and handle the roster management to this level in such a short period. I think it is very fair for anyone to say they had questions the day we hired Brian Kelly. Again, very happy with everything up until this point.

The Rant is full of shite...IF you would have suggested Kelly 8 months ago, you'd have 100 down votes in 5 minutes.
It was Riley or bust on here.

Kelly would cook a better brisket.

The one word that always comes to mind when I think of Lincoln Riley is SOFT. And soft has no chance whatsoever of winning in the SEC. Kelly all the way.

Says the person who can't answer the simple question of who would have been a hire that you felt wasn't settling.

Unhappy with Riley and Kelly?
Typical ranter. Man fricking hard to please eh? Saban, Bellicheck or we had a shitty hire huh?

Oklahoma was going into the sec.
LSU is in the sec.
Riley was scared of the sec and that’s why he went to usc.

I initially wanted Riley, but he is seemingly chasing Hollywood super-stardom and wants to be in the middle of all the “bling”. Good for him. Kelly truly seems to have the same type of a Saban-type approach as far as the building and vision of a program. Glad we landed him.
