...your coaching history in this thread is incredibly short.
it's apparent your history of LSU football is 'short' sighted.
this team this season went from the cellar to winning the SEC west after two years of below par seasons.
CBK has turned the program around and looks to have a respectful team to work with next season.
of course loosing to FSU and aTm were both huge let downs but the 86' Miami (Ohio) lose at Tiger Stadium still hurts to this day.

The ‘86 loss to Miami of Ohio was disappointing to say the least. However, it was a non-conference regular season game that ended up having no consequence. The Tigers won the SEC that year and represented the conference in the Sugar Bowl. Had they won that game they still would not have played for a title - it was all Penn State and Miami that year.
If losing that game 35 years ago still “hurts”, then you should reevaluate some things in life.

No, I’m judging it by the body of his Notre Dame work AND what I saw at LSU this year. Granted it may be way pre-mature to make any judgments on what his LSU resume will be after one 1 year but I think I see some flaws in his approach that are pure him; player agnostic in my judgment. Those resources you reference are no better at LSU than the other top tier SEC teams he has to beat IOT win the SEC & NC. I also don’t see he’s superior in approach, scheme, roster or player development than any of those other same top tier SEC teams either. If not, then CBK shows no appreciable advantage over our competition. I take no joy in this assessment; I’m as big a Tigers fan as anyone and want them to be the dominant team many think they can become; but I’m also no sunshine pumper when its not warranted.

Kelly went from not being able to beat Saban at ND to winning a division and beating Alabama in his first year at LSU using a group he had to piece together just to make a competitive team. His defensive coordinator was a huge hire and his current recruiting class is the best he’s ever had as a head coach. You really don’t understand what you have at LSU. But I do!

Bama win was big but I also recognize that was one of Saban’s worse teams in a very long time so I don’t give it more emphasis than it deserves. I understand quite well what he has at LSU. Again, I just don’t give it more emphasis than it deserves. When I see him have a better scheme, better players, better execution, and more physically dominant than Alabama, Georgia and now Tennessee, I’ll pump BK sunshine.
