Side note, why did we keep running the option with Lafell being the pitch guy last night? I know they want to get him the ball, but Keiland is waaaaaaaaaaaay better for that. Brandon went down on initial contact virtually every time we did it.

our offense has been so weird this year

He could end up being undrafted. He is on the border of just being fat.

+1, he better run in the 4.6 range at worse to get drafted.

KW is running better right now.

15 of the 33 rb's at the combine last year ran over a 4.6 you idiot. he wouldnt be drafted as a speed back. teams would know what their getting with Scott.

I will be surprised if Scott runs sub 4.7. He can make a roster as a powerback.

I stand by my statement that Crowton is a bad offensive coordinator.

KW is not a better complete back the CS.... KW still doesn';t run hard tween the tackles and....misses a lot of blocks...

Its about damn time the Chargers wise up and start the more complete tailback in Hester

To his credit, he also doesn't run directly into the pile when the outside is wide open.

Plus, unless you weren't watching last night, he broke quite a few tackles.

He threw the block that sprung Shepard on his first run.

if we have the same problems next week and chuck gets more carries than keiland, i may go nuts

also, chuck is one of the rant's true loves. excuse after excuse, with a grudging, "KW should play more" comment

it's hilarious

Yeah, I personally like both guys, but it's glaringly obvious that KW's running style is more conducive to playing to the "strength" (and I use this term loosely) of our O-line.

i had no problem with scott getting a ton of carries last year UNTIL he started sucking

esp in game...he'd suck and our coaching staff wouldn't change anything

miles' guys can't have their psyche's damaged, but the others can be yanked for no logical explanation for halves or games

I think losing at UK in 2007 after getting Scott zero carries in the 2nd half went a long way towards over-using him in 2008. It wasn't fair to Scott the way he was run into the ground last season.

and yes, keiland was big/fat last year, but he was still effective. he was just a different type of back

but obviously i'd prefer faster/smaller KW

He's looking more like KW circa 2006.

His ability is the same as then. I just think he was a lot more indecisive back then. He has had great reads with his vision this year so far. Both TDs last night were great. He will be my Player of the Game in the article I have to write today.

my only problem with this is that he was insane for the first 4 games of the year. then he had two bad games. he earned the benefit of the doubt to keep getting carries after those two bad games. then he bounced back and had 4 pretty good games.
the last two games of the season he didnt play well but he didnt get that many carries either.

not really

under jimbo he had free reign to cut it outside, and he wasn't punished for it, and he went for 5.7 per carry

when crowton took over and miles sunk his teeth into the offense, bouncing it outside was a punishable offense

and even then, don't forget what KW did against VT and AU

now last year he was fat and lost a lil explosiveness, but he ran really, really well. he was running inside and gliding along. he had a better ypc against the SEC than scott, b/c our OL became poor and scott wore down.
