I'm not sure what the idiots think. The University can not have it look as if the band is participating in a vulgar chant. Therefore, since students can't show any maturity, we'll get more piped in music during tv timeouts.
Who cares? It's funny that you are actually upset about college kids getting drunk and having fun at a game. It is what they are supposed to do dumbass!

I have a nice prediction for what will happen if piped in music is added: the students will simply change the words of that song to something else vulgar. This will never work. EVERY student section, even at BYU, screams obscenities with or without the band.

The students are idiots.

Maybe not, but I can promise you I was much more creative. Hate to use the term lame but yeah..it's pretty damn lame.
I agree. I also think that it's funnier when it's more creative. The fact is, though, they're kids, and they're just having a great time. Most of them are absolutely obliterated so even mostly sensible kids are inebriated and, therefore, not thinking correctly. When you're a part of it and drinking, you don't realize what it looks like. It's sort of like watching that ultra-drunk a-hole at the party. You're like "Really, bro?", but you also forget that you may have had those night. I just think that people here are way too harsh and act like they've never done anything as bad or worse than cursing at football game. It happens at every single college. Actually, the worst banter I've heard was at smaller college games where the intelligence level of the student base wasn't exactly of the same caliber of LSU.

Does anyone go to a football game to watch football anymore? No wonder our X's and O's suck, no one pays attention to it anymore.

Here come the posts about how past student sections were perfect role models, never cursed, and always stayed till 00:00 on the clock.
No one is saying that.

And it's not like there hasn't been cursing in the stands for years and years
Ya think?

This stuff is passed down for years, albeit there's new innovations every few years
It's an organized chant, by the student section, in conjunction with what the band is playing. We play on National TV almost every week and it probably doesn't reflect well on the University, not that you give a shite. It doesn't bother me personally but it's a problem with LSU and I understand why.

This was the first week that the students applied "suck that tiger dick" to a new song.

How about the band playing Vivaldi's "4 Seasons" or J.S. Bach's "Brandenburg Concertos"? I'm sure the drunken louts in the student section will need a long time to come up w/ vulgar chants to those. Seriously, I hate for canned music to be the solution!

I got a nasty mouth and a childish sense of humor. But "suck that tiger dick" is so unfunny its embarrassing. Its like the students couldn't come up with anything clever to say so they just said frick it. Lets say suck that tiger dick!

As a student in the SS tonight I really was embarrassed. Seemed like it was only me and one other guy behind me that were just like really this shite again?

What makes people think that the students couldn't just chant vulgarities along to the piped in music as well?

I want more piped in music.
Our plan is working.

In an organized fashion? How far do you want to take this? No music at all?

Don't know if you've ever had the chance to look at the players during our fun and vulgar chants. They look pretty pumped and I can tell you first hand that our awful chants do pump them up.

Fairly well stated. The students are like a bunch of little bitch children who are trying to see how far they can push their parents. I am ashamed, to be honest. And not to be holier than thou, but having earned 2 degrees from LSU, I have the right to be ashamed of how the university is being represented. That chant is unfunny and needs to just go away.

The vulgarity excuse is just that, a convenient excuse. They'd be doing the piped in music anyway. Somebody is getting paid to pipe that music in. Follow the money trail.
