i'd advise against that. not worth it to maybe get a central distribution charge on a dry campus. you'd more than likely be fine, but it's not worth the risk.

Calhoun's is fine on game day IF you're into crowds, lines for the bar, lines for the bathrooms, hell even lines for the lines. I'll pass; gonna be enough 'togetherness' sitting in those tiny Vols stadium seats.

We'll be coming in from Gatlinburg area. Trying to figure out best route and parking. Anyone know if there is parking on the east side of the river? Is it a walkable distance? Shuttles?

TIA

Where are the best places to park and be able to tailgate next to your car? Like the Old Front 9 and Parker Colesium lots at LSU

We always park behind Walgreens on Cumberland "The Strip". There are alot of small lots. Prices range from $20 to $40. We park there because they have port-a-johns which helps if you don't want to walk half a block to take a piss.

All those lots usually fill a couple hours before game time. But they are full of people tailgating. Grills, cornhole, etc. and there is always alot of visiting fans. I never remember any trouble honestly. Just a mix of people looking to have a good time. There are a ton of places to eat. We usually grill so I will not say what is good and what isn't. It is about a 5 or 10 minute walk to the stadium and after one hill it is pretty easy.

I have heard people talk about Calhouns and I love the food there and the atmosphere. But we like hanging with our ride and I have had a hard time finding a spot to park over there when we tried.

But whatever you do. Take it easy on us. Welcome. Look for a big green F250 with TV's and Grills. I will give you a beer. I always liked to tailgate with you guys. Camped beside a group of LSU fans at the beach and they took care of us and I would gladly do the same....

You can have a keg. No problem. You just have to drink out of a cup. Knoxville police watches for open containers. They will not say anything as long as it is in a cup....

if a cop on campus sees a keg, i will tell you with absolute certainty, they will confiscate it.
