Not to get into your business - it's your thread, but if this is going to work, don't you need a sticky?

Got any suggestions as far as good areas to park for the game? Also, about how much time should I expect to give for finding a spot to park? I hear traffic in and out is really bad. We're not too concerned about being as close to the stadium as possible or the price.....we would just like to try to avoid the most congested areas.

you're pretty much screwed with traffic. it's really bad after the game. my best suggestion for you would be to park as close to the interstate as you can. there will be people in the fort (area just north of cumberland avenue) that rent their businesses/houses out for parking (just don't let yourself get blocked in because many will cram people in there)

If you're staying at a hotel in Knoxville, I would recommend shuttling in if at all possible. If you have to park, and don't mind walking, there's a couple of lots on 11th street that are pretty good. That's where we parked last time.

Thanks!

Just checked the map out and was wondering if you're referring to the lots in "World's Fair Park"?

Where are the best places to park and be able to tailgate next to your car? Like the Old Front 9 and Parker Colesium lots at LSU

This. Someone told me Circle Park, but it's a block from the stadium, and we're not going to get there at 8:00 a.m. or anything like that.

Anyone with past experience other than going to Calhoun's, please advise.

Any UT fans out there? There's a muffaletta in it for you if you can give some good information.

Circle Park is an awesome place to tailgate and right by the stadium, but unloading is a pan in the arse becuase they don't let you drive up to do so. You basically have to haul all your stuff from wherever you park unless you finagle your way around the guards early in the morning

Tin Roof, OCI, Cool Beans are the best and they're all on the strip by campus

true and it's first come first serve, so i'd imagine there being quite a line if it doesn't open until 11
