If you want to know what Seattle is going to do, watch the division, especially the Astros who are getting healthy and only 4 games back. As the trade deadline approaches, Seattle will get nervous and make moves to solidify their position in the standings as will other teams. They have buying power with their plethora of good to excellent pitching. Pitching, as usual is king in this league as everyone knows. Someone is going to want to overpay for one of their starters and / relievers. They have trade power with the depth on the current roster and what’s in their farm system.
They aren’t trading Kade but they could dump some salary by trading one of their starters and make a move for additional hitting. They are middle to bottom half of league in batting average, OPS, and runs scored. They could move one of their other minor league pitchers up and hold Kade until after the trade deadline to not burn his rookie season. He would have to pitch less than 50 innings so a relief pitcher (long relieve maybe) is a possibility.
Anyway, lots to think about with an organization with excellent pitching. That’s the main reason they are leading the division (I believe they are 3rd in all of MLB in pitching.

Well, baseball is complex with so many rules, statistics and of course $$$$$$ to drive decisions. It isn’t a “now league” until it is in nut crunching time at the trade deadline and 40 man roster expansion.
