I like the Defense, but I'd just as soon let the DH bat for him and take a chance with whoever is pitching at the plate. Awful hitter, I've always said it, and I'll continue to forever b/c he'll never be a good hitter. Bring the hate, but the truth hurts.
I, for one, appreciate posts like this. Makes it clear who doesn't know the game of baseball.

Thanks for that... I appreciate someone that can hit the ball. Can he "do the little things"? Kind of, but not really. He hits well in the Fall, but not in LSU's uniform.

They don't wear LSU uniforms in the fall? Who knew.

2014 more strikeouts than hits with a .200 avg (20/100)
Nice
2015 He did have 13 hits to 9 K's this year, but played significantly less. Again, atrocious avg at .236 (13/56)
Good luck!

14/56 is a 0.250 average...
This was a number many thought he'd need to start since his defense was so good and we'd have plenty of hitting throughout the lineup. It wasn't to be because he got hurt and so many players hit well and PM had to fit them in. I firmly believe he would have had a better average last year without the injury.
He hit well in the fall. He was a cape cod all star.
Does he need to show it and deserves the criticism? Of course.
But talking in absolutes like you are is retarded.

It's my opinion of him from what I've seen in his career. I like the D, hate the bat. I wish it was better, but it's just not gonna happen.
Now what's retarded is that you have over 39000 posts. Find something to do, pal.

So he bats .310 (27 hits, 11 k's) in 2015 in the Cape Cod League (best college league in the US) with wooden bat and hits .277 (31 hits, 28 k's) as a rookie, but he can't hit. I get it now.
Why wish him good luck? You obviously want him to fail. He was one of the best high school hitters that I have seen in Texas in a long time.

Says the guy who wants to DH for Kramer and let our pitchers hit.

What I want, Waco, is for him to hit the ball.

5-11 this weekend...that's pretty good

He is hitting the ball. He is tied for 3rd highest OBP on the team among the everyday starters. If he can continue to get on base he will stay in the lineup.

He literally had one more strikeout than hits his freshman year.

And in 2016, in half the 2015 PAs and ABs, he's got double the amount of XBHs he had in 2015 and 75% of the total bases. He's also got 2/3 the amount of walks already this year and has only struck out one time in 35 PAs.
It's okay to say he wasn't a good hitter for LSU the last two seasons. It's unfair to say he'll never be one. And dishonest to ignore the progress he's made.
And just fricking dumb to suggest that the pitchers would do better.

Since nobody else is going to mention it I guess I will... Trent likes the D, and KRob was not so forthcoming with his D. Which is why Trent is so upset about KRob.

it may just snow unicorns and ot 10's outside today. I'm in a kRob thread defending kRob.

I just logged the stats from the DH spot into my spreadsheet. Lower BA, more K, fewer XBH, way lower OBP. Shitload more RBI though, but that's not what KRob is being asked to do.
So the marginal difference between KRob and the DH spot further highlights the stupidity of suggesting we take his bat out altogether and replace it with the pitcher.

i've never been a fan. but, there's no denying he is hitting the ball better. truth is truth.

I just got reinstated today after getting suspended opening night for a less than flattering remark aimed at Robertson. My apologies to Kramer and his fan club, I'm glad he took my online criticisms and used them as hitting fuel.
