Didn't JV get a ACL injury before the NC season? Isn't that why he was a RS?
Yes, and then he tore that same knee after his Soph year.
SO JV tore the same ACL twice, and still had a better career than Alley, who probably had more God given talent in the first place.

i don't think broussard can be considered as having wasted his potential. he got hurt and was never the same, not really his fault imo.
It was pretty widely reported that Broussard didn't rehab his knee the way it needed to be after the injury.

im not real sure justin vincent had alot of potential in my opinion he was just good enough to play for lsu we had a sick oline! not real fast not real strong! broussard was a beast when healthy also dont think lost potential was an issue with him the guy got hurt and when rbs hurt there legs theres not much rm to return to form!!!

ACLs tears aren't what they used to be, alley was just too lazy to properly rehab it

i cant argue that! if i had to pick u gotta go with broussard vincent just wasnt nearly as talented imo!!!

JV was a 5 Star player, and may have been the top RB in the nation as a recruit, IIRC.

Agreed. Everyone talks about JV getting fat after his injury, but Alley was just as bad. Today's athlete should fully recover from ACL surgery and even be stronger (same goes for Tommy John).

after tommy johns most guys make a recovery and most of the time lose 3 to 4 mph off there fastball and the majority of the guys that have the surgery are power pitchers so not exactly making a full recovery!

The reason people are saying Alley is because his dropoff was after his injury even if it was his fault for not rehabbing properly. Vincent's dropoff started in '04 before he got hurt. People had talked themselves into believing he was a Heisman candidate going into that year.

Justin Vincent vs. Alley Broussard
I think Alley had more potential. JV was a good back with the benefit of gaping holes to run though.

Getting hurt =/= Wasted
Greygoose and White Bitches = Wasted

But both guys were injured with the same injury. Neither came back in the right fashion. JV eventually did do something in the sport, and Allley made youtube videos.

justin vincent loved lacoste shirts and white women. the night life killed his career
ally on the hand was hurt most of the time

I think people are harder on Broussard than they should be. People forget that his injury also coincided with a coaching change at LSU. I've been re-watching some game footage from Alley in the 03' season and parts of the 04' season and he was probably the best overall back that we have had since Faulk/Collins (maybe Toefield before he had injury problems). Addai was also really good but Broussard easily out shined him while he was healthy because he was one of those rare big backs who could run over people and also go the distance. Without his injury Broussard could have been remembered a lot differently in the minds of many LSU fans.

I just don't understand how someone could say on the one hand, "JV wasted his career on white women and Fred's"; while when talking about Alley, it's, "he got hurt and it wasn't his fault he never rehabbed properly". They both had the same injury (JV actually having it twice on the same knee). Neither came back from it well. Yet JV gets tons of criticism, while Alley doesn't. Again, at least JV played a little NFL ball and got paid.

Vincent sucked in '04 and he wasn't injured. Alley was good and then got hurt and he sucked. Vincent was good, started to suck, and then got hurt.
