Thank your lucky stars you are not going to Ft Polk like I did in '68' If your DI is cross eyed, toothless and talks like Forest Gump he is a Sabama man. Be careful he suffers from delusions. He will cry like a baby after the game when we wip them. Look for the butt wipe full of tears.

All kidding aside ... thanks for your service. Served 5 years from 68 - 73. Made me a better person and am always honored to have served my country, the least I could do for being blessed to be born in the greatest country in the world.

If you report nov 1 you will likely either still be in reception or just getting to your unit. Forget tv or any connection to the outside save a call on the weekend IF you are lucky. Good luck and thank you for serving.

The only time I spent at Benning was for OCS. That being said, I guarantee you won't have the opportunity to watch the game, even at reception. You will spend hours upon hours upon hours waiting in line. Whether it's for your first haircut or shots or clothing issue, you will wait.
