Whomever doesn't think the offensive line and defensive line is the most important aspect of the game, is just ignorant.

The reason bama has been dominant is there ability to win the line of scrimmage. There ability to stop the run, pressure the qb, and run the ball. It hasn't mattered whom their qb is. Their qb has had more time to throw, scramble, and hand the ball off to Ingram, Richardson, lacy, and Henry. The consistent factor has been their dominant lines.

You can't get any better qb play than Clemson had. Didn't matter, bama still won.

LSU changed the offense against Arkansas. Ran Harris out of the shotgun

Against Ariansas and tamu, two teams very susceptible to the run, it almost seemed like Miles and Cameron intentionally threw it all around the field as if to say, "See, this is why we never pass."

The OP is partially correct. The OL is often overlooked, but is always critical.

But the OP is way underestimating the importance of QB play. It's the most important position on the field. If a QB doesn't play well, it's difficult for the entire offense, at least against good teams.

While improved qb play is important, this statement is totally inaccurate. It ALL begins and ends with a strong Oline. Dominate the line- dominate the game. This has been the nucleus of a great team for decades.

So I guess by this statement you believe that we DIDNT have a strong O-line last year?

Uh, Coker had a monster game.

QB play is usually critical for any football team, at least against a quality opponent.

Ok.

and a couple of fullbacks.

it really helps if the QB has a sense of awareness and can move.

Z Mett never seemed to know that he was about to take a hit. He paid for it in college and NFL.

when LSU lost its starting FB, it was a big hit.

line injuries happen. must be deep.

A) Arky was like 12th Nat/2nd SEC in run D.
B) LSU went all air raid with about 20 att vs aTm.
C) More BS agenda posted by logjamming.

When you have no quarter back, can not complete a pass within 5 to 15 yards of the lne of scrimage, you are forced to run the ball, you have only 6 run plays, you are playing against teams late in the season whom have seen those six plays that you run a hundred times, those team have good to equal talent accross the line and they can stack 8 on the line that 5 cannot block, you get beat and beat bad, i.e. alabama, Ole miss, and arkansas. Bad quarter back, badddd coaching average line blocking same 6 play =THE PROBLEM

it scares me that you may be correct. that a&m game was the worst passing performance I can ever recall LSU having. the passes were too far off to be intercepted.

if that is the norm for this year, we are screwed.

I'm hoping it was lack of depth and possibly injuries late last year, because we got manhandled late. Grimes has shown that he can bump up the recruiting, so now it comes down to whether or not he can coach up the big uglies...

need both. But LSU can't seem to get a top QB or we just can't coach them. Seems like every Nov. we say wait till next year! With 18 starter

Only idiots say shite like that. Then people like you get all pissy when we only win 10 games. When you knew damn well LSU wasn't going to win the title.

Everything hinges on the oline. They got dominated against bama and Arkansas. You can't pass block, doesn't matter the qb, see saints. If you can't get a push, doesn't matter the rb, see LSU.

Lol.

LSU had its chance to go up on Bama. On a perfect fricking play, the qb rolls out and throws the ball over his wide open TE for essentially a pick six and the dagger.
