He’s a 4.5 guy. Nowhere near 4.35. Nabers is fastest guy on starting offense

No other QB in recent memory gets that edge.

That's really impressive.

Justin Fields ran 4.44 at his pro day. Daniels looks like he’s a step or two faster than him.

Analytics that the team now uses has his top speed clocked in at 21 mph…..he gets after it. And yes when he hit the edge at UF - it was amazing. His ability to cut is elite.

He’s more agile than pure straight speed I think but still very fast. I think I’m the 40 he’s probably around 4.45

Because a ton of high schools put their best athlete at QB. I bet more college skill players played QB than any other position.

Kevin Faulk
his high school coach believed in the best player having the ball in his hands every play on offense.

Yea, that’s exactly what he’s listed at online.

I think people underestimate how fast a 4.5 is, especially for a QB. The dude is not sub 4.4. He’s fast but, he doesn’t have Mike Vick or Lamar Jackson speed. He’s very elusive and hard to tackle though.

Now think about it as a 6’1” 235 lb running back who did 22.05 mph in Pittsburgh in the rain… LINK

Burrow was 4.59 and I think Daniels is much faster, instinctive and has way better change of direction. This guy can accelerate like cheetah.

Daniels hit 21mph in workouts. Just for reference Nabers, Ibieta, Thomas, and Hilton all hit over 22mph from the offensive side of the ball

JD NFL Scouting Report

Not saying he can’t run a sub 4.5, but he’s listed at a 4.50.

Which is a guess and those are constantly way off. People quoting it in this thread are not quoting actual measurements.

ETA:

The fastest Lamar Jackson has ever been clocked on the football field is 21.01 mph. Jayden has beaten that in the Florida game.

LF7 was clocked at 22mph and ran a 4.51 in the 40. Lamar Jackson ran a 4.34 in the 40. Top speed doesn’t always equate to a faster 40 time, it’s more about acceleration and getting a good drive off the line. I think JD is probably in the 4.4 to 4.5 range.

True.

But watching JD, he's got the quickness, the acceleration, and the speed. I'm calling a 4.38 if he's 100% healthy and trains for it.

Well if you are going to play receiver at the next level you better be able to catch the ball over the middle. No one on this site even knows if catch the football. I think he is at the correct position and has improved every game.
