Despite getting shite on by Auburn, LSU leads A&M in total and passing offense.

That means that the Tigers are better offensively with a backup QB than TAMUs most hyped team since god knows when.

Not only that, a win here would devastate that program into suicidal territory.

You crush every backdoor playoff hope they will ever have. You wouldnt see an A&M fan for miles for years.

We can play exactly how we did against Arky. Mond is no better than franks , maybe even worse under pressure. You know, the one thing the defense is good at.

I am fricking pumped for this. This feels like one of those games that LSU just inexplicably gets its shite together for.

Bookmark me, they arent winning this one.

Total offense is an awful stat. TJ threw for 6 YPA saturday which is bad. Those numbers are boosted by Myles' 3 games, A&M has had a bunch of blowouts where they didn't need to throw the ball.

Arkansas has a terrible rushing defense, A&m is great at it.

Franks averaged 14 YPA against us

The plan was to stay on the field. This isnt surprising.

You win this point.

Take away 3 long passes and Arkansas did nothing.

And all the other dozens of explosive plays against us all year? Don't act like those 3 passes were irregular or something--that's LSU's defense.

Lol. The Aggies will embarrass this LSU team. This team has zero heart on top of being horribly coached.

I would love to eat crow, but expect this game will be similar to Auburn. Except Jimbo will have even less mercy than Malzahn. Not going to be pretty.

I think they showed some heart against Arkansas but I expect a big loss against A&M. If LSU can get the run game fired up, it will be close, but I think A&M is going to force Finley to do it through the air and he will have to play lights out. Can't expect A&M to go 0-10 on 3rd down like Arkansas did.

A&M has had several games where they looked very average. The looked downright horrible against Vandy and pretty average against State. If we get the Kellen Mond that showed up in those games, we'll have a chance. I actually like our chances somewhat better against A&M than I do Ole Miss because of their offensive scheme. I also think A&M is going to have a lot of pressure on them to beat us. We'll see how they handle it.

Two key differences:

1. This won’t be the first road start for our true freshman QB
2 aTm doesn’t have nearly the same level of confusing creativity/misdirection on offense

Agree on both counts. Honestly, LSU just needs to show up and play physical on both sides of the ball, there's not a whole lot else to it. A&M should cruise but I just want to see LSU fight on both sides of the ball. Establish the run with Davis-Price and control the clock on offense, feed Gilbert in the passing game when it's time to throw it. Marshall will obviously be heavily involved as well, but I liked the formula LSU had against Arkansas, just have to execute better.

Game is going to come down to several things...

On defense

1) first and foremost, we have to stop the run. A&M’s running game is what gets that offense going. They’ve got a great offensive line shockingly, and Spiller is a Chris Carson clone. Defensive line is going to have to be able to set the edge, and the IDL is going to have to get some push so Cox and Backersville can fill their gaps and clean it up. I’d personally stack the box with Stevens in there and play single high most of the time. I don’t like our odds

2) can we get a pass rush? A&M hasn’t allowed a sack since week 1, 2 overall on the season. Gonna have to set that offense off schedule when they do throw so they can’t run. I like our odds here

3) stop busting coverages. Play smart. Again, I’d just go single high most of the time and play a lot of cover 1 if stingley is healthy, they can’t beat stingley and ricks.

On offense

1) run the ball. A&M has a great rush defense and our OL is atrocious, I don’t see it happening, but we need to. Finley needs to be able to make nice easy 1 throw reads, and to do this you need to be able to run the ball, would really help the RPO game too cuz A&M would have to think run first like USC did.

2) stop dropping the damn ball. We’ll be open all game, not worried about that. Their corners are bad

3) protect Finley. A&M’s pass rush is pretty average at best, we should be able to do this.

I don’t think we’ll win this game mainly because we cannot run the ball or stop the run, but I really hope I’m wrong.

You spelled it wrong. It's "stink", not "sink".
