And O was the RC before Miles was fired. So wouldnt Craig have inherited his "mess". As that other poster said

Not touching that one... I have no sources and didn't make that comment.

All I know is I heard on the radio that Willie Taggart wanted Craig at Oregon, especially after the OC there was fired for DUI.

Didn't get that from Jab and I'm not the only one that has said that on this board. The fact that Ed thinks he is the new orleans guy is nuts. This ain't the 90's and early 00's when lsu totally abandoned new orleans and it was easy pickings for u.

the reason why Akers is not here is bc EO wouldn't give Akers a solid answer on if Jab would be back this year.

Pretty sure Arky has some rock solid contract clauses that prevent their assistants for leaving for lateral jobs, especially in the SEC. I'm not sure if giving him an "associate head coach" title is enough to get out of that

Did he do something? Perhaps he's taking another job and did something during recruiting that crossed the line?

What do you expect from someone who played at Auburn?

Saying Coach O or DCraig ran recruiting as recruiting coordinator is like saying the Queen of England runs England today

It is just a title to give extra money to a good recruiter. The football operations staff runs the actual recruiting organization for any competent program

O knows how important New Orleans is. He ha said it numerous times. The problem around here with people is they thought Jalukke was Frank Wilson 2.0 because he was a black head high school coach from New Orleans. He is not Frank. We will see.

I'm starting to think O and Ponamsky really are reading this board and going with public opinion

I wouldn't see O pull this trigger if that were the case. This is not a BDP/Cam Cameron situation where no one here liked the coach.

Who in NOLA did we miss out on with Juluuke on staff?

didnt help us this year, but you have to have one NOLA guy on staff, that area is vital to recruiting..

The Swilling brothers, we also had two 2018 kids from Landry-Walker decommit, there may be others I'm forgetting off the top of my head.

why would a kid even ask about the job security of the recruiter

Sounds like a planted question, to be honest.

I will keep eye on whether juluke ends up in Tallahassee

All one has to do is look at the results of our recruiting. One running back. We lost out on the best in the nation to Fla. St. Then we couldn't land the best in state back. Craig flirted with another job and other schools used his actions against us. Both were brought in mainly to bolster recruiting. Neither are great on the field coaches. Fish or cut bait. That is the way it rolls in Cajun country.

The Swilling brothers were not coming to LSU, can't blame that on Juluke

Yeah, but Pat was Ga Tech legacy. Not sure that would have happened regardless.
