Not the reason LSU lost, why talk about it?

Because it's about enforcing the rules. No one has said that's why we lost.

But if that's the rule, then that's the rule. It's not the rule some of the time and it's not applied to one team not that other team.

Enforcing the rule would help to get rid of the idea that Alabama gets one sided calls. Instead they did the opposite and made it more obvious that it's sure leaning that way when they don't even review it.

If it was any other team, it would have at least been reviewed. Spare me the "but the refs said they reviewed it."

How many times have you seen a play for something far less egregious take place and the ref stops play, announces to the entire stadium that "the previous play is under further review."

You need one reason to review the hit for targeting. There were three reasons here.

1. Helmet to helmet contact with the crown of the helmet
2. Forceable contact to the head or neck area
3. A launch. Turner's feet are off the ground when the crown of his helmet makes contact with Danies' facemask.

All three of those are reason enough to at least review the hit.

But it didn't even get that far.

LSU ends just continued to take themselves out of the play by overplaying the outside

Problem with this is that prior to the Bama game one of the biggest issues with the Edge Linemen was NOT setting the edge & crashing down into the QB pocket while a RB or the QB slipped outside for an easy scramble or screen pass.

I would be willing to bet that Saturday Night was a direct result of having been coached all week to “Set the Edge” to ensure you force everything inside. Problem is that our Defense is soft as baby shite, especially up the middle. So basically had the DEs forced Milroe outside he would have still DESTROYED our pathetically weak Defense!!

Yeah, when the graphic said "Jayden Daniels taken out of game by big hit," I turned his show off. That wasn't a "big hit." "Big hit" is a compliment. Big hits are in the spirit of the game.

Dallas Burfict drove the crown of his helmet into JD's jaw and intentionally drove him to the ground, while wrapping him up and falling on him with his full body weight. That's not a "big hit." That's intent to injure.

Hi Josh, I'm sure you'll see this as you google yourself. STTDB

I turned back on my old account here just to respond to this after not posting for 5+ years. I was listening to JP’s youtube channel regularly until he posted his comments of the Bama game. I unsubscribed and blocked him from my Youtube feed.

JP previously bragged repeatedly about his good friends in Baton Rouge and how much he enjoyed coming in 2019. Bet he gets a much cooler reception next time in BR.
