Happened so fast he probably legitimately thought the ball was live. Looked like Dixon was running toward the end zone with a a few lead blockers in front.

He said he didn't know the guy was down. The hit looked a little high and dirty, but he is an offensive lineman. The guy that intercepted the pass was celebrating and running around and needed to be hit. Should have been off setting penalties.

If he thought the play was life then why didn't he go for the easy strip given the Wisconsin player was holding the ball out with one hand? Why did he hit him high? Why did he run right past 3 LSU players that clearly knew the play was dead to hit him? This is a bullshite excuse, and nobody besides a few LSU fans actually believe this.

Quit being a pussy. That late hit was glorious. They need to give him an award.

Would he be suspended if he would have done that to Harris?? I'm kidding, for you literal throat slashers!

Regardless, something had to happen to Josh......whether it was intentional or not. Just looked really bad. We were all frustrated and some may or may not have done it. Cut the kid some slack, let him serve his one game suspension and go on from there. But, some of you people need to get a grip.....kicking him off the team? Really!!!

Never played football did you? Easy to throw stones from your lazy boy covered in chip crumbs but when your in the heat of the moment and your adrenalines up on the field in real time sometimes your first instinct isn't always the right move.

looked like a frustrated cheap shot by a very frustrated player; he should have knocked his qb on his arse...he's the one who threw a stupid pass into at least double coverage and blew any chance of a game-winning field goal

There was a lot of confusion out there

Not as qualified as all of the so called "sperts" on this forum, but having played ball many years ago, this can happen. The whole play needs to be taken in perspective, not a 2-second clip.

per LSU.
No. Per the NCAA. If you get ejected, you sit out the next game. That's the rule.

So basically, LSU didn't do anything to him.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I'm not reading 4 pages of people bitching to find out.

Josh is a good kid who made a stupid mistake. Two to four games might have been a more apt punishment, but he does not deserve to be kicked off the team.

However, the one game suspension is from LSU. The NCAA and/or the SEC have not weighed in yet.

One game is enough

Oh, it's not just me that doesn't buy the bullshite excuse. There are plenty of people that have played football at the highest level that don't believe that excuse.

That's not adrenaline. That's not a mistake. That's a dirty hit out of frustration. There's no place for that. But, keep supporting the piece of shite.

In some cases, the coaches know the rules of the game and teach their players, but I think it's unfair to expect that to be the case on every team. There's a lot to work on during the week, and it's fair to assume that we might not have worked on that play in practice that led to the suspension. At least, I don't think we would have time to actually practice a last minute interception.

My God man, anyone who has ever watched a college football game knows that Inc a player goes down the play is dead. U can see from replays that he didnt have to block anyone on the play and was looking directly at the DB when he fell. Then he runs through several LSU and Wisc players tbat know the plays dead in order to forearm a guy half his size.

Do you honestly think at this level of football the coaches have to literally practice ever scenario that might happen and explain ever basic rule in order for a SENIOR player to know what to do? I mean come on man thats just silly.
