I wouldn't kick him off the team, but a 2-4 game suspension would have been appropriate for what he did.

That was nasty and it was clear he did it just because he was mad. Look at how he was taunting Wisconsin players when he was leaving the field.

We aren't stupid.

Seriously? For a late hit? Glad you're not on the coaching staff.

Also, if it was a mistake why was he suspended?

This "mistake" has no place in the game of football, apparently.

One game is plenty. It was no worse than stomping on a guy that's down, punching a woman repeatedly, getting arrested with guns and drugs.

Wish we could suspend the coach.

If he had apologized on the field to the guy instead of having to call him, I'd be more inclined to believe it was an accident.

If you look at the gif you can see the ref blowing the whistle with hands in front of him, you can see Colin Jeter walking away from the play. It wasn't a mistake. Anyone with a brain knows it was a frustration dirty play. I think he should have gotten at least two games probably 3.

It doesn't matter what the punishment is. At this point, tRant would tear Miles apart if he kicked Boutte off the team or didn't punish him at all. I want Miles gone too, but this board has become ridiculous.

You think it is ridiculous that people think putting a statement out that is contrary to reality and giving him a one game suspension against a rent-a-win is really light considering he sullied the program on national tv and could have ended D'cota Dixon's career?

quote:

“Josh made a mistake and will serve a one-game suspension because of it,” Miles said via a press release on Monday. “Even though this was done by mistake, a play like this does not belong in the game of football and therefore action must be taken. “This play does not define Josh as a person and is not indicative of the type of player he is. We sincerely apologize for his mistake.”

MT will likely start in his place.
I wouldn't mind seeing Brumfield get some action. Anyone surprised he hasn't gotten any action yet?

Needs to be kicked off the team.
The line was terrible, and you want to kick off the lineman who had the best game? This is why we have a reputation for fans being clueless.

We were trying to preserve the clock and no one touched the intercepting player when he was down so the clock might have continued to run. There was a lot of confusion out there.

No one is saying it was a good thing to do. Just not expressing the ritchous indignation or these pusses acting like he swung a helmet at him or something.

It was a football hit. A cheap one, but a tackle. He's suspended and getting roasted on tv and Internet. He's not walking away scott free.

Maybe we should have him pour bleach in his cuts to appease you guys.

I would have suspended him for the whole season.....that was one of the cheapest shots I've ever seen....
